Guessing FFXVI might be in the summer poll. An 87 Metacritic score should be more than sufficient to make it into one of the seasonal polls.

FFXVI might get to break 30% on TotK

Live a Live being here even though it was just a port is silly too. The remake came out last year.

Seeing XVI vs. BG3 in the Summer poll would be fun at least.

Star Wars Jedi Survivor was also left out. Very confusing.

Elden Ring went on to double GoW Ragnarok. It's the power hour and today's poll is very weak, but flirting with 60% at any point is still nuts.

So I guess we’re doing astronomical seasons? Which would put FFXVI in summer. Regardless Jedi Survivor should be on here. It would even have a shot at second.

Edit: Also, Live A Live came out last year. So weird that the Playstation/PC port is on here.

The presence of Live A Live in today's poll means we're not going to have a Remake/Remaster poll this time around.

I see people say FFXVI is summer, but then why is Dave the Diver here?

We were just guessing about FF16 being moved to summer. FF16 might have been straight up snubbed instead.

There's a decent chance Starfield gets snubbed tomorrow because it only has a Metacritic score of 83. We've had games with a Metacritic score of 84 and 85 getting snubbed this year.

It'll be pretty awkward if Starfield gets snubbed for another 2022 game.

They actually snubbed Final Fantasy XVI for a port of the Live a Live remake, LMFAO.

Yeah, I think its safe to say whoever is running these polls didn't like that game.

Pretty sure it just got glossed over. I doubt whoever's putting together these polls cares that much about them. Especially with Allen gone.

Starfield not looking so good. Maybe it would have preferred to have gotten snubbed rather than face reality.

No FF16 is a really bad miss. I would have liked to have seen how much of a run it could make for second place.

Also this is an abysmal result for Starfield. Don't think anyone was expecting much from it, but wow.

Starfield will shoot for the moon once the ASV starts. BG3 might not be safe.

FFXV barely won GotY in 2016 as a game with an 81 Metacritic score. FFXVI had an 87 Metacritic score and was generally viewed as being a better game over FFXV, but it can't even make it into the GotY polls.

This result implies that BG3 gets relatively close to Tears of the Kingdom. I'm thinking 55-45 in favor of Zelda.

Does it? This is a noticeably worse field than what Zelda faced. Give me SF6 and Diablo IV pretty handily over everything here except I guess Pikmin 4.

I think this field is much stronger than the one Tears faced. I'd still take Starfield over Diablo 4.

Hmm, I could believe Diablo 4 = Starfield. Starfield appeals to the userbase here a little more, but D4's on 5 platforms, and still appeals somewhat, and their receptions were similar enough.

Armored Core 6 > Street Fighter 6 wouldn't be too surprising.

I'm a bit disappointed we won't get to see another Zelda/Final Fantasy match-up in the overall GotY poll.

Fortunately, it doesn't look like FFXVI was going to beat BG3 here.

FF16 was supposed to be in yesterday's poll. So it actually got the boot for the Live A Live port.

I have no faith in Street Fighter 6 so I have extra lack of faith in anything that finishes behind it in a poll.

Of course I can say the same about Pikmin 4.

went from 10x Bomb Rush Cyberfunk in anticipation to 3x in results.

Yeah, to me, Pikmin wrecking everything else in this poll (except Armored Core VI, which should also be telling, I guess) is what's making me think this isn't a good field.

I looked at some old polls and Pikmin always looks terrible. Pikmin 4 feels like it might have caught more traction than the others but I wouldn't expect much out of it.

I suppose Pikmin could be benefiting from being the only Nintendo game in the poll but come on it's still Pikmin

I'd take Pikmin 4 over Street Fighter 6. It was well-received, and if nothing else, solo Nintendo options have a habit of overperforming in these polls.

I mean I think they're both going to be pretty weak but we're looking at 82.50% for Zelda vs. 74.77% for Baldur's Gate 3 currently

Animal Crossing boards on GameFAQs tend to get quite a bit of traffic. It's on another level compared to Pikmin.

Bomb Rush Cyberfunk made into a GotY poll with only a 75 Metacritic score, which is by far the worst Metacritic score in this year's GotY polls so far. Can't believe FFXVI got snubbed for a game like that.

Star Trek: Resurgence's Metacritic score was 71 and it made the Spring poll. Did the poll runner confuse it with Star Wars Jedi: Survivor somehow?
