feel like Carrey as Robotnik has gotten mostly positive feedback, so I

never seeing Eggman again in a 128 (or 136 a la 2018) character bracket
unless he gets in specifically because of the Jim Carrey portrayal so
if he shows up like that in the pic it probably wouldn’t hurt. ...Unless he’s mainly here from a board 8 push instead. also i am ready to say the answer to this... TeamRocketElite posted... What does Sonic Frontiers mean for Sonic in a hypothetical Character Battle? Sonic didn't look so good his last time out. Can he turn it around? is 'nothing'. Being closer to Star Ocean than a Pokemon game being held back by another Pokemon game is bad for any game hoping to make a big impact on a Noble Niner. Pokemon
SV is only slightly behind Arceus in the battle of the Pokemon games.
The "end of the year" factor could partially explain this result, as
Arceus was a beginning of the year release and the main focus right now

Gonna guess that Horizon is getting at least somewhat SFF'd by God of War. There's gotta be some pretty big overlap there. All the stars in the sky are waiting for you. |
Where the f*** is Kirby and the Forgotten Land? Pretty sure that game would have been a solid third place here and beaten the two Pokemon games comfortably. SBallen has to always have a baffling oversight in these GotY polls. We have Rune Factory 5 here that maybe 83 people played in the entire world, was the most divisive entry in it's series to date but not the most acclaimed Kirby title maybe ever? |

thought Elden Ring's performance yesterday was a little underwhelming. I
expected it to easily clear 50% against these opponents. Still should
win GotY easily but I'm not confident at all that it will 65-35 God of
War Ragnarok anymore. |

dude I'm not being "vehement". Do most of you just have like razor thin
skin about literally everything and just assume anything questioning
something a hate post, s*** post or whatever it is called now. Do I have to say *posts amicably with respect* at the end of every slightly inquisitive post to make sure some of your feelings aren't hurt now? I'm questioning SBallen about basically Anagraming obvious poll options on an almost yearly basis now. No vehemence, just asking a question to which I'll probably never get an answer to. |

Lol, somehow I just knew Mr. White Knight would be the one to respond to this. My post wasn't supposed to be amicable nor was it vehement. I used the amicable thing as an example but leave it to you to cherry pick things to make an argument about something that it is not. If I was being vehement which I rarely ever am, and somebody called out to me on it. I wouldn't deny it. The last time I was 'vehement' to anyone or anything around here was with UshiromiyaEva in the Bayonetta 3 topic. And I admitted I just find it extremely annoying when people lead a crusade towards boycotting any media and hate bandwagon without a shred of knowledge against something that they haven't even tried. interesting to see if it threatened Xenoblade 3 for 2nd place. Unlikely
but it's better than having a complete non factor like Rune Factory 5. |

Looking
at the message board activity for the games in this poll, every single
game here has more topics on their respective message boards than Kirby
did. Maybe message board activity is weighted more heavily now than
Metacritic and user rating scores in selecting games for these games.
In the past, Metacritic scores seemed to factor more into what games
were selected for the GotY polls, but Allen could have changed the
criteria for selecting games. Pokemon SV easily has the most active board out of all these games, with 198 pages of topics. Second place goes to Xenoblade Chronicles 3 with 106 pages of topics.
