question how much FFRemake will have helped Sephiroth. He played a
prominent role at the end but I don't think it was in a way people
liked, and in general it's hard for the Badass Cool Villain archetype to
wow us anymore. Cloud, Tifa, and Aerith are going to make healthy gains though. And Barret too maybe I guess. It's Reyn Time. |
I
thought Sephiroth was quite good in FFVIIR actually, even if it was a
role completely different from what he played during that part in the
original! His voice actor really helped there, too, but they seemed to
manage to recapture what actually made Seph a fearsome villain in the
first place. That being said, I don't think it helps him that much because he didn't really do anything notable. A villain's strength comes from their defining acts more than anything else. (edited 10/2/2020 1:45:17 PM) |

Then again, I also had tremendous doubts regarding my Tifa > Luigi pick, but that seemed to have worked out for reasons that I would've never seen coming, lol. Favorite Nintendo console poll today: https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/poll/8249- Switch has gained almost 7% compared to the same poll from 2 years ago. It's still losing to the GameCube, but I expect trends to be very favorable towards the Switch during the overnight hours as the GameCube is expected to do poorly with the European vote. In
polls like this the depth of the console matters. While Ocarina of
Time, Super Mario 64 and Majora's Mask likely beats everything the
Gamecube has to offer things drop-off rather quickly. GoldenEye/Paper
Mario/Super Smash Bros./Mario Kart 64 have some strength. After that you
have Star Fox 64 and the Rare games which already don't have much

is a huge wildcard. It could be a contender for top non-PS2/SNES
console, or it could tank and end up behind most of the Nintendo

wouldn't read too much into a poll where both the PSP and Vita were
both under 2.5%. Vita might have had a slight advantage being more
recent than the PSP. It also had better exclusives than the PSP ever
