Bloodborne was losing, but he saved us by giving us word in advance that ~75 people were going to arrive at 7:55 PM to vote for RE2. But they arrived earlier than anticipated, so it gave us a lot more breathing room for the last updates.

The NSMB games I've played are great.

Odyssey > Ultimate is one of those scenarios where I just can't believe it, but the evidence largely seems to be pointing that way

The entire Internet lights up when a new character is announced in Smash. It now houses MORE GFaqs favorites like Persona 5 and Banjo. On top of largely being considered better than Brawl and 4. It should be a juggernaut but it just hasn't manifested.

If you have Ultimate > Odyssey, at this point you're basically just relying on Ultimate being higher on the Nintendo hierarchy, since Odyssey has looked way more dominant each round so far. Same thing with Three Houses > Xenoblade. And the Nintendo hierarchy can be wacky, so I wouldn't count anything out yet.

Next round is freeform pictures. Just help submit pictures of Link and Mario is done. With that said, I assume someone will submit a Byleth picture to sabotage SSBU.

Yeah I have GTA and Fire Emblem winning tomorrow so I’m definitely falling off that leaderboard.

3D World is a legitimately great game. I enjoyed it more than Odyssey.

Theres no Hierachy for FE/Xenblade

Xenoblade is favoured purely for being a traditional RPG instead of an SRPG which people don't like as much on this site.

If Smash loses to Odyssey it has more to do with people not giving a s*** about it as much as Brawl in 2010 and Melee in general.

Link, Cloud, and Snake to really butter up those voters

Seconding the opinions that console NSMB > portable NSMB, and 3D World > 3D Land. The portable iterations aren't even close IMO.

Best portable Mario platformer IMO is Super Mario Land 2. The final Wario's Castle level is one of the absolute best levels in the entire franchise. Thrilling stuff.

Minecraft currently being stronger than DMCV and the SK three-pack assuming SSBU=Odyssey is setting off so many alarms in my head.

GTA should be considered the favorite tomorrow (it won't, but should). Fire Emblem not so much.

Yes it should. Despite P4G being impressive. GTA has way too strong of a European/Day vote. Might be a close 51-49 match though

SSBM v FFX's spirit lives on.

Minecraft has had a bit of a renaissance lately, partially due to continued support and a Switch release, and partially due to some weird counterculture reaction to Fortnite. I can buy it being stronger than in 2015, but I still wouldn't have taken it over Shovel Knight

3D World has some of the best couch co-op around.

Also, I'm not ready to overreact to today's results. Spider-man PS4 was a big deal, and it's pretty much matching ALBW's % against Smash.

Smash has had heavier competition than Odyssey early on. ALBW and Spider-man would crush Shovel Knight and DMC5.

This does feed into my observation that although Ultimate's board in consistently one of the busiest on the site, half those people don't even play the game and just treat it as an action figure collection of characters. They don't really value it much as a game.

I feel like I have more fun thinking about the DLC of the game than the actual game itself.

Ultimate's netcode is awful and sucks some of the fun away, but that is true for all of the Switch's online infrastructure.

It certainly boosted Smash, but there's no evidence to suggest it was a major factor. At best it probably offset the ludicrous match pic advantage that SMB had.

SSBM was *the* Nintendo game during that era. Don't forget this was back when Nintendo was kiddie, Zelda was Celda, Metroid was "boring and not enough like Halo," etc. Smash WAS Nintendo at that point.

Brawl hype didn't even start until 2007. So no.

I'm at 128 and was hoping to make the leaderboard before picking both Persona 4 AND Fire Emblem kills me. Dammit.

Yeah but theres no Hierarchy. Because Xenoblade has like 3 games. FE has over a dozen. SFF? sure. If FE beats XB or visa versa...doesn't prove one of higher in the hierarchy than the other.

My thoery on why i think Xenoblade could be stronger than TH is because i think its the strongest Nintendo exclusive JRPG that isn't named Mario RPG on this site while FE series are SRPG's...people don't like them as much as traditional RPG's. ITs why Golden Sun was WAY stronger than any FE game pre 2010 despite FE having like half a dozen games back then and GS having like two.

Hierachy suggests a series is below on or the other. Thats too premature to determine for a new franchise that barely has 3 games. For Mario and Zelda? sure heres dozens of games to compare them.

Wow, how can an opinion be so bad? NSMB1 was absolute trash. NSMB2 wasn't great, but it was at least decent.

Also, I could turn your statement around since NSMB1 came out last decade. Your statement is worse because without even having to remember the exact release date of NSMB2, it's a 3DS game so 2011 at the earliest. So your statement is invalid because the real worst Mario game came out in 2010!
