I can't imagine RE2 and Bloodborne struggling with Horizon as much as Mass Effect is right now. This division's not over yet.

struggling? Wth are you talking about the rallies are massively favouring horizon here. Otherwise this would be an easy 58-42 win.

It's pretty good, but RE2 and Bloodborne seem like they're a cut above. Either way Mass Effect's going to have to fight for it.

Nah, I think this is a fight to establish they're good enough to win. I haven't seen anything that makes them look like a clear favorite.

It's been stalled out with RE2 barely in the lead for several hours now.

There's been a 60 vote barrier for like 8 hours now.

Any word on when the match is ending? I'm assuming they'll be cutting it short.

I think there was a rally on PS4 reddit as well to boost the exclusive games, idk why they do that lol, like its fine if you want to boost a game you love, but boost a game just because its on a console you bought is absolute stupidity.

Not long ago I heard of a guy who burned his PS4 because they dared to release a port of Horizon Zero Dawn (or was it another game?) for PC.

Some console fans are really touchy about their exclusives. Maybe to pretend consoles aren't becoming increasingly outclassed by PCs.

Bloodborne is a masterpiece of a game, and while it does streamline the Souls formula in ways that series purists may not have loved, it also refined the gameplay to such an extent that it, IMO, stands above Demon's and Dark Souls as the pinnacle of the genre.

It just so happens that it's up against another phenomenal game that also happens to be in my bracket, which means it must

fear the G-Virus.

It was closer than that before the rally. Like 52-48. 56% and the rally probably wouldn’t be enough. It makes sense that Bloodborne would get stronger as well, it was really new in 2015.

Do you think that explains why Bloodborne rallies are so effective while the DS3 rally barely did anything?

Is the Bloodborne fandom more passionate about it?

I was thinking it was because New Vegas induced a rally backfire, but it seems RE2 isn't capable of doing that either. Or it is, but the backfire isn't what matters here.

Well the missing two hours warped things, and obviously RE2 has just as much reason to get stronger. Being a whole new game and all. This whole match is busted.

I just realized that the two missing hours is almost a bit of a throwback when super-debated matches would be the ones that started early, ended late, randomly went 15 minutes late.

This is as close as we get to Mario vs. Crono 2 or Samus vs. Sonic 1 in the modern era.

I think there's more overlap between Soulsborne and Fallout fans than between Soulsborne and Resident Evil fans.

Could also be New Vegas being held on a pedestal due to Bethesda's Fallout games getting more backlash after the disaster that was Fallout 76. For those not in the know, New Vegas was only published by Bethesda - it was made by Obsidian Entertainment, of Knights of the Old Republic II fame, which consisted of several former employees of Black Isle Studios, the company that made the original Fallout games before selling off the license to stave off bankruptcy (hmm, reminds me of Marvel Studios and the film rights to their properties). Also New Vegas takes place back in the Western US like the old Fallout games, as opposed to Bethesda's Fallout games which shift the setting to the east coast, yet still keep a lot of iconic elements of the series around to increasing continuity errors.

Yeah, I've watched LPs of 3 and New Vegas, and I really enjoyed the latter. The idea of dicking around in a post-apocalyptic world sounds pretty cool to me, and I'm far from alone.

That's very hard to say, as I know very little about Dark Souls 3's specific fanbase and how it may differ from BB/DS1. I do feel that the Bloodborne fanbase is quite passionate about their game.

I also think being a remake of a 1998 game in a Game of the 2010s bracket may have made RE2 a bit of a target for Bloodborne voters to rally against, while also making RE2 a harder to sell to rally for in its own community.

Time may tell on this, as Division 8 could see the possibility of a NieR rally against Heart Gold, a game I felt was very vulnerable in this aspect as well.

bloodborne is technically flawed. Until it comes out on or gets a proper next grn remaster its just a poor running but great game

Thems some small cuts, but they're sure cuts.
