With the matches now live, this is going to affect how you do trend charts for these 2 matches as they started over 2 hours late. Personally, I would treat board vote like normal (first 5 minutes), the Power Hour runs from 10:11 PM to 11:00 PM, and the ENV runs from 11:00 PM to 2:00 AM. We'll lose 2 hours off the ENV as a result of this, and the later time periods are unaffected.

I very much imagine these matches are just gonna get cut short

Starting them this late was a bad idea but best stop the bleeding now instead of starting everything at like 10:30

I expect today's matches to finish on time, and later matches will go back to a normal schedule provided no more hiccups like this one. It's only these matches where we're going to lose the first 2 hours.

Also its a shame how ME's fanbase has dwindled. It should be doubling Horizon for f*** sake. ME2 is genuinely a GOTD game. Horizon is just a Good game at best.

Is RE2 beginning to slowly pull away with people realizing the match is up?

this is uncharted ground trend-wise, I wouldn't want to make any assumptions about this early vote

RE(make)2 and HG/SS somehow winning their divisions is the most gamefaqs thing ever before factoring in Xenoblade > GTA.

I still think this is a good enough performance by ME2 here to win the division.

I do too. RE2 and BLoodborne don't beat Horizon by more than 55% bar rallies.

The only way ME2 loses is rallies.

RE2/BB being from Japan will give them that extra nudge needed that's not showing in ME2 vs Horizon imo

Holding all of these percentages constant, for RE2 to stand toe to toe with ME2 in the finals, DooM would need to be roughly equal to Horizon, which... why the hell not.

RE2 up 100 now.

I have a good bit of respect for Horizon, so I think this is a solid number for ME2.

Nice to see the matches are up. I feel RE2 needs to keep going up in percentage in order to have a chance against ME2.

It's still early, but ME2 is getting the type of win it needs to probably be considered the favorite in a close match next round as long as RE2/Bloodborne stays this close. I'm not convinced RE2 has today down yet though.

What indications do we have about how the first two hours of RE2/Bloodborne should have gone? Because many of those voters will still vote at a later time.

Now that RE2 seems to be going up like a balloon, I think Bloodborne might have been the beneficiary of a drawn out board vote of sorts.

Huh, the matches aren't updating at the same time. That's weird.

I'm guessing they were launched manually and one at a time so they are desynced.

The RE2/Bloodborne match seems to be updating at the :01 and :06 minutes.

I don't think we can really declare a favorite for next round. Everything in this division is either completely new to the contest, or has had reasons to deviate from their 2015 performances (Bloodborne and Borderlands).

This is probably going to be the absolute toss up of the Second Chance bracket.

Yeah ME2 is fine to win the division and I'm not sure why the results have looked otherwise for anyone?

Being between N:A and P5 ain't too bad a place to be in and HZD did just defeat a former GotY-winner in the previous round too. It has legitimacy here.

EDIT: it's also a 2017-game. We've been seeing nearly all of them consistently impress so far.

We will just never really know what the match could have been like if it started on time

I mean really. Injustice 2 is the only game on there that didn't make a contest, and it could have stolen a victory somewhere. What Remains of Edith Finch is the only game that didn't impress, but then nobody expected it to.

This poll also isn't counting anything else that came from 2017 -- thinking of SMO here. That year's been beasting.
