well ultimate actually managed to finally replace melee as the main game in competitive smash so it must have done something right >_>

I've been a longtime Smash fan, but lost interest in Ultimate quick and the DLC did little to bring me back. On the other hand, Odyssey blew me away.

Count me in with the prevailing opinion. 👀

Wait, which board are you talking about?

Smash Ultimate board, sure, but they're never happy with anything.
But on Board 8, people seem to love Smash Ultimate. And even if it was the case that some people here prefer Mario Odyssey as a game, that doesn't mean that they don't like Smash Ultimate. It just means that they find Mario Odyssey as a REALLY good Mario game.

I've always thought that Smash online is sort of inherently bad because it's such an inherently couch multiplayer game. On the other hand I actually feel this way about basically all multiplayer games so I'm probably the wrong guy to ask.

There's no real reason for a tryhard 1v1 no items blah blah blah match to have so many latency issues. This is the best selling fighting game of all time, they can afford to put in the extra manpower to make it better.

Of course, the fact that has sold so well is exactly why they won't bother. People are buying it anyway.

I don’t think saying that only very specific games should be GotD-worthy is reasonable. The only requirements should be being acclaimed and actually of the decade, and perhaps mainstream successful though I don’t know about that one. MM fell down on the second part.

Galaxy (either one) > Odyssey

Odyssey is a really fun game but I found it slightly underwhelming.

I hope those rumors about there being a potential Super Mario collection that includes all the 3D games up until Galaxy 2 is true. I skipped most of the Wii era.

single player is still an absolute drag and Online still isn't great

I would love that. Absolute f***ing pain trying to set up a wii just to play the Galaxies. Especially Galaxy 2

From what was posted on the Discord, people rallied porn sites for Persona. Their upvote numbers are substantial enough where it possibly swung the result.

Like I don't care about my bracket, it's already in flames and has zero chance. I just wish people wouldn't rally for either game. Rallying is bad regardless of game.

Damn if Persona 4 Golden needed that rally then how the hell its rated 4.60?

Eh, the rallies seem to have done nothing of note. I don't think you can really say it definitively swung the match.

The last 3 days have had about the same vote totals. And there have been rallies each day. It looks like they all brought in about the same number of votes each day.

we estimated the bloodborne rally brought like 1500 ~ 2000 votes so if that is true these rallies are actually being significant.

Dark Souls 3 i thought was amazing game, really good, spent 400+ hours on it.
But New Vegas is in my top games of all time, 10/10 absolute masterpiece. (even with its objective flaws)
