On an unrelated note, I know this has already been said about RE2 and MK8, but I suppose we're supposed to be considering the original Shovel Knight and not the far, far superior Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove? While SK is a fine game, it's really the added campaigns of the other Knights that elevate the entire package.

Yes, Octopath boosted significantly at least for a while. I don't think that level will hold up, but the match close enough for it to make a difference, especially since it's pinned.

I'm fine with Octopath winning bc that wrecks more brackets and so everyone feels bad

The hypocrisy on rallies here is so entertaining to me, and a mod claiming that it’s victim blaming to be in favor of them is icing on the cake.

I find it more fun if it's both than when it's one. For the sake of the match.

To be fair Octopath's got pinned and Shovel Knight's didn't. However, Shovel Knight's is still near the top.

This level of rally is fine. Especially since it has been all stalls for three updates!

the octopath reddit has very few people active

the sticky rally seems to have worked all at once and immediatelly ran out of fuel.

though with how close this is those 100 or so votes could be what wins it for Octopath.

I'll be the first to admit to being a hypocrite and I see no issue with that, really.

I want to do well and if something allows me to do better, I am not against it. (I don't particularly like it but it's fine)

If something hinders my ability to do well then obviously I am not going to be happy about it.

With that being said, Shovel Knight isn't falling too behind despite 100+ votes getting pumped into Octopath. Eventually that'll die out and then we've just got to hope there are enough US voters left.

And I will never forget a mod on this site claiming it’s victim blaming to like rallies, and then in the same topic claiming those who disagree are mentally ill.

Oh sorry, the “actually sane” agree with the position of not liking them. Same difference. If you want a perfect example of why no one cares about this site and especially its message boards anymore, that is it.

I mostly just wish rallied people would stay around more than they do.

If I had to choose a side I'd very easily be on the "no rallies" side, though, regardless of favorable result or not.

I can't wait for every single close match to get rallied on reddit.

Back in the day you had a small handful of games that had active communities that could be rallied so it could be seen to be unfair. Now everything has a subreddit.

Well, I don't think anyone's calling out that something is cheating. Just that they don't like it.

This isn't gonna be a crazy rally that kills the bracket. Octopath doesn't have that kinda sauce and that dedicated a fanbase.

The Bloodborne rally should be the one that scares you. That one might just be a prelude to the Souls fans flooding in, they're the ones with the numbers and dedication.

With Bloodborne a rally of that size would not break the contest or anything but close matches.

And Octopath wins one. Mostly due to Shovel Knight falling off in that update.
