We wouldn't have predicted the depth that HZD and Automata would have added too. 98 is still on a league of its own. Pokemon RBY And OoT alone demolish everything in 2017. Sure it has a bunch of strong games but Metal Gear Solid 1 would handily beat every 2017 game except BOTW. 2001 v 2017 is a great match up. |

Awakening's
result against Human Revolution was fine. That game was pretty popular
on release and Adam Jensen wasn't awful fodder, just fodder. Black Turtle did a pretty good job. |

if you're assuming Awakening is static from 2015, Bloodborne has
already cleared what Dark Souls was projected to get on FE that year. Black Turtle did a pretty good job. |

Yah my theory that the FROM games have grown in strength is being validated. They're very much bandwagon-y games, they spread their reach so far because of insane word-of-mouth and retain VERY tightknit communities due to the nature of the lore and online play. I think people are extrapolating Three Houses from Awakening too much.
In general we've been generalizing too much this contest. So far the
results have shown me that GameFAQs is paying attention to the quality
of each individual game, not making broad strokes. Sekiro losing to MHW
doesn't mean Bloodborne can't go loud on Awakening. Awakening dropping
its match doesn't mean much for Three Houses' chances. Xenoblade crushing Splatoon 2 was and is a much bigger deal than whatever Awakening does today. That result is lowkey the star result of Round 1. Black Turtle did a pretty good job. |
So right now, RE2 gets 88,5% against INSIDE. |

bracket right now, unfortunately. The Last of Us was a horrible
late-game upset. That's not the type of contest entrant to catch fire on

Souls series not gaining much traction since then. It did. Simple as

I
also don't like anything that has horror in it, not just games. The
only exception to this rule is Castlevania, which I'm a fan of, but
that's mainly because it's not a "scary" series, but rather focused on
action-adventure, which I'm also a fan of. I also dislike blood and gore, although I'm a fan of action games, so I have my lines and limits pretty established on those matters. It's an honor being part of Board 8's community. |
Dark
souls isn't really a horror game... I guess Blighttown is kinda scary?

For
those keeping track (a.k.a. me), Bloodborne has currently risen 32
spots in its 2015 xstats placement if you assume a static Awakening. Black Turtle did a pretty good job. |
