not sure when to determine if my bracket points survives for round 2 or

have currently 55 Points. Outside of the stupid Xenoblade 2 pick i'm
fairly confident in getting most of the matches correct. Only ones that
i'm unsure of is Cuphead/GTA and RDR/Persona. I have gTA and RDR. But
even for my brackets sake i hope Cuphead and P4G. |

You're going off on pure sales This isn't IGN or Gamespot where Overwatch would clearly win This is Gamefaqs. I've been using this site since 2003. IF you've been to any Nintendo related board over the past 8 years you'd realize outside of BOTW xenoblade 1 is one of the most bummed games on this site. It doesn't matter how many people have played it. ITs going to crush Overwatch. Thats not even a talking point. Lets debate real debatable matches here. And Kojima fanboys or not...death Stranding sucks. I am or was a Kojima rabid fanboy. Death Stranding sucks balls. Look at the GOTY poll. If Kojima Fanbase was that rabid..it wouldn't have straight up bombed in the GOTY polls. Overwatch isn't your Call of Duty or Fortnite level...but its still weak. I would put Overwatch slightly above a Halo Reach probably. Maybe. Don't know. Thats a debated match. My point is Overwatch on a site like Gamespot or IGN would be very strong. Clearly leagues above Xenoblade. but on this site. Games like Overwatch and casualised games are like a mincemeat to any decent popular JRPG. This is a Site where Golden Sun beat GTA San Andreas. Overwatch is stronger than the average game in its genre. We mostly tolerate it rather than outright dislike it. I wouldn't give Xenoblade so much credit as to say that a doubling is the bare minimum there. |

At least from what I've seen though, people generally like Overwatch. And like I said, Xenoblade fans are very vocal, so you hear about it a lot. But they aren't necessarily numerous. Hell even when Shulk was announced for Smash Bros, even in Nintendo focused boards a lot of people were saying "who the hell is he?" Granted Smash Bros boosted its popularity but it's still not the juggernaut you seem to think it is. I'm not necessarily saying it will lose to Overwatch, but it's going to be a close contest. I think Xenoblade vs. Overwatch will be a 60-40 type of match at most, and I'm not sure in which direction. And if it wins it will be another close call against Three Houses. will say one thing- if this contest was happening 2 months from now,
after the game releases in HD on the Switch, Xenoblade probably would be
a juggernaut with a chance at even beating Grand Theft Auto V and
making it out of the division. But now? The game just doesn't have
enough exposure. Seriously, now that Shulk has been in Smash, word of mouth has spread, and there's finally an easy to get version of the game, it's gonna sell like hotcakes. i think you might be overrating Xenoblade a tad here too it seems you're expecting it to have Persona 5 levels of strength..which doesn't sound very plausible. |
