the characters in XII are among the most forgettable in the franchise (in that regard i'd even say its considerably behind XV) however the world / lore and gameplay are all top notch. the gambit system is still LEAGUES ahead of every other form of AI control mechanics any other rpg has ever attempted to do. |

FFXV just got into the car and started driving this match. Advokaiser picked Cloud in Guru and rained on my bracket. At least I finished 20th overall! |

FF12
is my favorite 'not thinking too hard' game to play. There's something
relaxing about running around collecting hunts with 4x game speed. Music
and art style are really aesthetically pleasing. As a traditional JRPG experience though (a.k.a. story, characters, pacing) it's pretty bad. Black Turtle did a pretty good job. (edited 4/11/2020 5:42:10 PM) |

take the Cuphead GotY poll with a grain of salt because if you haven't
played a lot of indie games, you're voting for the one with the breakout
art style that got a ton of press. Of course, that's a terrible
opponent for GTA5 to face. It'll suck up those anti-votes no problem. Black Turtle did a pretty good job. |

last round, although Hollow Knight's was a lot more abrupt. |
