I took Mario Kart, but apparently Wii U games have strength problems even if they were ported to the Switch later, so now I don't know.

I've got MK8

Not because i think its strong. But Uncharted 4 is weak.

And on todays match. Safe to say Skyrim will score the biggest % win so far this contest?

In terms of "juggernaut" games. Which i include the likes of Witcher smash Mario and BOTW...Skyrim has the weakest competition. Literally a no name game.

Mario got 86% on MK11. Witcher got 84 against a well known AC game, BOTW idd well against a respected recent open world RPG....Smash/Tekken was sort of a weak showing for smash but Tekken isnt that bad

Skyrim has to score 90%%+ here to look good imo.

When you have Doom scoring 86% against INSIDE..i'd put Subnautica at INSIDES level

So we're looking at 90% almost for Skyrim. MAybe more.

I wouldn't put Subnautica down at INSIDE's level because it actually did pretty well in the one GOTY poll it appeared in

but Skyrim should still destroy it

I want to say Swirl is right about this theory, but Breath of the Wild is in this boat too and that game has zero strength issues.

Fact is no one gives a toss about Donkey Kong Country past the SNES. I think it's truly that simple.

Yeah, I posted this in the crew topic, but I expect the amount of people to see MK8 and think "This is technically the Wii U version so I'm not going to count the Switch port" to be close to zero.

The Switch port is a fantastic game! Not as good as Uncharted 4, of course, but when has the quality of a game ever mattered here?

Breath of the Wild is a Wii U game in the sense that Twilight Princess is a GameCube game

it isn't actually considered a Wii U game by the vast majority of people because it's a launch title for the Switch

I had U4 because i thought MK8 would be one of those Nintendo games that for some reason does crap. But the board convinced me to take it so now i have it going 2 rounds.

wii version of tp came out first too! And of course sold vastly better on that console.

whatever console that game is philosophically, it’s undoubtedly a wii game in practice.

differene is TP gamecube was as good if not better than the wii version. They pretty much ran and looked the same.

Wii U version of BOTW was terrible. The frame rate was abysmal.

I consider Twilight Princess to be a GameCube game, and Breath of the Wild to be a Switch game.

(In fact, I forgot it ever came out on the Wii U.)

That said, that may be biased because those were the consoles I played them on.

Also, I consider Crypt of the NecroDancer to be a proxy of Cadence of Hyrule as the reason for why I'm voting for it tonight!

Maybe others will do the same.

Twilight Princess sold significantly more on the Wii and came out first on the Wii. It's a Wii game.

Anyway, glad to see FF14 doing well. Everyone here who likes Final Fantasy should play it - you can essentially treat it as a single-player game and get the same experience as a traditional FF game.

Too boring even with friends (but still more fun than WoW but not by much)
