Man, Galaxy 2 didn't even make it out of Round 1 in BGE3. Obra Dinn is absolute fodder here.

Doom got like 86 on Inside, and Obra Dinn might be even weaker than Inside, so SMG’s number isn’t blowing my mind

Yeaaaah, as someone's whose personal GotD might be Obra Dinn, it's probably the weakest game in the bracket after Baba is You.

What a match. It was amazing.

It was the best, complete saving grace after Cloud dropped to Squirtle. Snake barely beat Pikachu and Squirtle combined and he was godly. Mega Man > Charizard > Zero is one of the few results ever that I can't make sense of even in hindsight.

I hear Obra Dinn is amazing and it's made by the person/team behind Papers, Please. It's on my list for sure, but this poll suggests maaaaaaaaaybe SMG2 comes first.

Especially since SMG1 was so good.

Especially if Nintendo remasters SMG2.

They will. They've all but confirmed they're porting the entire Mario 3D series to Switch.

SF5 had a rocky launch, but it's still the current SF game, similar to how SSB works. I'm thinking this pick was a bad one though, given the current result

My first impression was Street Fighter V, but then I remembered what an utter disaster the SFV launch was, and figured it could definitely do worse than the anemic results we've gotten from Animal Crossing in the past.

Galaxy 2 is going to Majora's Mask all over this bracket and inexplicably become the third-strongest Mario game.

SMG2 is a damn amazing game and I am loving it putting on a show like this. Doesn't at all deserve to be the weakest of Ninty's big titles from the last decade.

I mean if AC:NL beats RDR2, may as well.

For this laughing at my picks, this is how I feel when Board 8 does stupid s*** like Tales of Bersteria, DKC Tropical Freeze, GSC beating MM, etc.

Unless you think Obra Dinn can avoid a doubling by AC.

Oh no, Obra Dinn is pathetic and Galaxy 2 is almost the perfect game to take advantage of it if you're forcing voting in every match because who's anti-voting Galaxy 2?

I don't know. I'm not sure AC can double anything and if of them is getting SFFd it's AC

With this kind of performance, I don't think Galaxy 2 has a chance against The Witcher.

This is one of those matches that really puts all these fodder matches in perspective. We know what SMG2 is capable of. It's not going to be a world beater, and it's really a sign that Obra Dinn is in contention for last place.

Besides, I think what Witcher is doing to AC here is way more impressive.

I think people trying to position Galaxy as a threat to the witcher are really grasping at straws here. Compare Obra Dinn to AC Odyssey

Other than Stardew, she picked Witcher, because she likes the TV show; Mass Effect, because she's heard about it unlike Starcraft; and Mario because she likes Mario.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say Witcher will break 60% on Galaxy.

Speaking of which, Papers, Please is a game I would have really liked to have seen here. I think it could have been an upset special against the right opponent like Ori was.
