I can't imagine which time trend would favor TWD to overturn this result, so Bastion probably has this in the bag Indie Rise Up Black Turtle did a pretty good job. |

i feel like TWD is one of those series that aged very poorly its true the later games were worse, but they also brought attention to flaws that were always there to begin with..the primary claim to fame TWD had was the whole "you choose how the story goes" thing. as time went on more people realised that was just a thinly veiled illlusion. i mean, Chrono trigger presented more meaningful choices two decades prior. |

already, but if Cuphead beats GTAV then I could believe a modern classic
of an indie game like that could beat a Vita game too, sure. Then again, I've got Xenoblade winning that hot mess of a division. I don't think Cuphead can make a run like that, but it's got room to flex based off of indies surprising us and room for these other games to disappoint along the way. I am back again with Registered/Anonymous user voting splits for this contest. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild vs. The Outer Worlds Registered Vote Result: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - 6917 (85.55%) The Outer Worlds - 1168 (14.45%) Anonymous Vote Result: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - 5518 (83.72%) The Outer Worlds - 1073 (16.28%) Halo: Reach vs. Life is Strange Registered Vote Result: Halo: Reach - 4595 (56.83%) Life is Strange - 3423 (42.34%) Anonymous Vote Result: Halo: Reach - 3487 (52.91%) Life is Strange - 3053 (46.32%) Final Fantasy XV vs. What Remains of Edith Finch Registered Vote Result: Final Fantasy XV - 6030 (74.58%) What Remains of Edith Finch - 1988 (24.59%) Anonymous Vote Result: Final Fantasy XV - 4794 (72.74%) What Remains of Edith Finch - 1746 (26.49%) Hollow Knight vs. Tales of Berseria Registered Vote Result: Hollow Knight - 5130 (63.45%) Tales of Berseria - 2891 (35.76%) Anonymous Vote Result: Hollow Knight - 3923 (59.52%) Tales of Berseria - 2617 (39.71%) BotW does almost 2% better with registered users. This is pretty significant when it's scoring around 85% overall, so large differences in registered/anonymous users are harder to pull off at those extreme percentages. Halo does almost 4% better with registered users. In the past, Halo has been a very casual favorite bracket pick in past contests, and this is certainly reflected in these voting splits. Strangely enough, FFXV does better with registered users. In general, Final Fantasy has done better with anonymous users. Hollow Knight was a huge bracket favorite overall, and this very apparent when Hollow Knight does almost 4% better with registered users. The vote totals for registered and anonymous users are slightly off from the official numbers reported on the GotD stats page because I calculate those numbers using the final adjusted vote total and the raw vote total. The voting stats on the GotD stats page is glitched. User Votes + Raw Votes should be equal to the Adjusted Votes on the GotD stats page, but this is not the case for all of the currently listed games except for The Outer Worlds. Overall, this small discrepancy has almost no effect on the actual percentages from registered/anonymous users. Once the GotD stats are corrected, I'll update my spreadsheet with any corrections if it turns out my calculated numbers are incorrect. So
far, Day 1 of this contest had an unusually high total of 55.09% of the
votes coming from registered users. In the 2018 contest, Day 1 had
50.18% registered users. A potential explanation for the higher
percentage of registered user votes is centered around the forced voting
in all matches, which would be a turn off to the anonymous users while
the registered users are more dedicated voters. We also had an
unusually long bracket entry period of about 4 weeks, which is reflected
in the higher number of contest entries compared to the last contest
(8702 vs. 7221) so you have more potential users who are invested in
