I didn't realize just how little games I have f***ing played the past decade 0O I have only 'finished" exactly 12 games from the bracket, and played (for at least few hours) around 10 more. All I know Zelda gonna win..always safe bet. ... |

It's
because everyone's older now so they have less time in their lives to
dedicate to playing video games due to various other responsibilities,

I've played more games this decade now than I had played from the 2000's back in GotD1! And that's without taking into account other games that didn't make the cut, such as I Wanna Be The Boshy (finished), To The Moon (finished), and Smash 3DS (played). You know, this makes me feel way better! Especially considering my Guru pick. I feel satisfied. It's an honor being part of Board 8's community. |

If you want to get technical, I've finished zero games in the bracket. RE2 and Pokemon Gold I've finished the originals. FFXIV ARR I completed through to the end of Heavensward which was the end of the game when I quit but I assume they mean the entirity including Stormblood and Shadowbringers and I did recently restart. Hearthstone I sank considerable time into but that isn't really a game you can finish. Played to at least Halfway Tales of Berseria Fire Emblem Awakening Mass Effect 3 FFXIV (although when I stopped playing, it was technically the end) Nier Automata Own but not played (or barely played / less than 3 hours) Monster Hunter World Dragon Quest XI Trails in the Sky Resident Evil 7 Fallout 4 Borderland 2 Horizon Doom Bloodborne SSB Ultimate Bayonetta Undertale DMC5 Overwatch Dragon Age Inquisition Death Stranding Witcher 3 Destiny Fallout New Vegas Dark Souls 3 Nioh The Talos Principle Persona 5 Heavy Rain Civ 5 Portal 2 Street Fighter 5 Dark Souls Dragon Ball FighterZ Metal Gear Solid V Batman Arkham City BioShock Diablo III Zero Escape: VLR Skyrim Mario Kart 8 Uncharted 4 Own but watched someone else in the house play through (some I've played a little) Ni No Kuni Final Fantasy XV Mass Effect 2 GTA V Persona 4 South Park Stick of Truth The Last Of Us Yes. Let's make the full list Played but did not finish: Tales of Berseria Finished: Undertale Zelda: A Link Between Worlds Portal 2 Danganronpa 2 The lower divisions are actually a bunch of empty. If my hype for playing games determined exactly how many games I'd played, I'd easily cover like 75% of the field. I already have Portal 2 in my Steam backlog (and my brother to play it with) and I'm pretty hyped to play it, but the hypest game in there is definitely Xenoblade Chronicles. It's an honor being part of Board 8's community. |

I feel like I didn't play a lot of these games but I feel like I've played a ton compared to most of the board. |

Most
of the AAA new stuff just doesn't appeal to me anymore. I have no real
interest in indie games either. Wouldn't mind playing the new Fire
Emblem or Tokyo Mirage Sessions but i'm not buying a Switch for like 2
games. |

refuse to trust post-GSC, arguably even post-RBY, Pokemon ever again
for anything. This includes remakes. I don't think FireRed and LeafGreen
would even be half as strong as RBY and I don't think HGSS will be
close to GSC either. I didn't think at all when I picked Nier over it! Born to lose, live to win! |

That's
an incredibly unsafe assumption. A lot of people quit Pokemon
altogether between GSC and HGSS. HGSS is popular among the current
Pokemon fanbase but we are not the reason RBY and to a lesser extent GSC

series as the hardcore Pokemon fanbase does. Those games live and die on

or those are games that didn't get enough nominations we are missing nothing by not having those games, not even Skyward Sword (which isn't popular among the Zelda fanbase) or Smash 4 (which has been completely forgotten by the fanbase since Ultimate came out) like none of the games on that list would be particularly popular so I wouldn't say Allen deliberately kept games out as much as people only had 10 noms so they weren't going to nominate their 2nd or 3rd favorite Pokemon or Mario game (edited 2/29/2020 5:08:16 PM) |
