You're right. I got it backwards.

Considering how few games I've played over the past decade, this is by far the least interested I've ever been in an official contest. I'm looking forward to VGMC more by a factor of 100! I'm interested to see how Pokemon HG/SS will do, though.

Despite the fact that the newer AA games are likely weaker than T&T, you're probably right.

I still haven't got round to playing Spirit of Justice. Thought Dual Destinies was pretty decent though.

The first thing I did was ctrl + f "Ace Attorney" and then "Phoenix Wright" and then I frowned.

I'm not too surprised, personally. I would guess that basically anyone outside of B8 who wanted to nominate MvC 3 would have chosen the original. Also, looking at the other fighting games in the bracket, it's safe to say Infinite stole quite a few noms despite being not so good (or so I've heard).

I'd be surprised if even one person nominated Infinite

Either would have been fine. But I guess this site doesn't really like fighting games other than Smash and SFV. Super glad DBFighterZ made it though.

No, they aren't.

Capcom bailed on Infinite almost immediately.

Tekken 7 is mostly well liked although it was having some issues with a completely overpowered DLC character recently.

I honestly didn't even see Tekken 7 in the bracket. It's going to get demolished.

Tekken 7's low average rating is almost certainly not legitimate.

Tekken 7 has a solid fighting game fanbase.

Tekken 7 is the best fighting game on the market right now, and I've pretty much never heard bad word about it.

The only ones I see talk bad about Tekken 7 are the ones that won’t shut the f*** up and keep bothering Harada about why he hasn’t put whatever character in yet.

These people give the Smash Bros community a run for their money in annoyance.

Tekken 7 fans were also pretty unhappy was how completely overpowered Leroy was before Leroy got nerfed.

Isn't happening. Too much "cringe" associated with Undertale these days even though that was a small part of the fanbase, just blown up significantly for hate clicks. Deltarune is also taking quite a bit of time in development so the fanbase isn't really excited or hyped up at the moment.

Looks like we're going to have another Second Chance Bracket for this contest, along with a 6 day break in the middle of the contest to enter a Second Chance Bracket. A big criticism of the last contest was the 6 day break killing our vote totals after the contest resumed, since we had no matches during the break (not even bonus matches). Some of the casual voters weren't aware the contest resumed again after the break, which explains the reduced vote totals after the break.

We will also have the registered user bonus for this contest as well, where registered users have their vote counted as 2 votes instead.

Super Mario Maker 2 not even getting in is very bad, as the game is a huge upgrade over the original Mario Maker. The game coming out in June of last year didn't help its cause either, since it would have had an easier time getting in if the game came out near the end of last year.

how did Angry Birds not make it in? Or clash of clans?
