just realized that Vincent beat Squall in 2005, Squall beat Auron in
2010, and Auron beat Vincent in 2018. I take it Squall should be able

Guru pick has basically been guaranteed for the last several contests.
When was the last time one didn't get in and it wasn't because SBAllen
rigged the bracket to keep it out? I think it was the original Guru
pick, Toadette, which nobody wanted to nominate because it was dumb. |

off-topic, but how do Samus and Mega Man retain their strength when
their franchises are seemingly being ignored, while Snake and Sonic
collapse from their franchises being over and/or receiving too many bad

Snake hasn't collapsed though and Sonic has always been one of the weaker links of the Noble Nine. |

For some reason, I thought Kyo Kusanagi was KOF's most popular character, but Google just proved me otherwise. I don't know squat about SNK, so maybe it was because I played Capcom vs. SNK 2 back in the day and he was the one facing off against Ryu in the intro. Terry is the main character of Fatal Fury/Garou/etc King of Fighters Kyo is the main character but you could sorta argue Terry has a loose claim to it based on popularity and the only reason Kyo has it at this point is due to seniority from days when King of Fighters and Fatal Fury were separate franchises. Fatal Fury doesn't get new games anymore and SNK sorta just merged all of its fighting game properties into the KoF banner, and Kyo was the main from times before then. Course IIRC Ash Crimson was pushed as the main character in some of the later but not most recent KoF games so who knows anymore. No problem! This is a cute and pop genocide of love! |
