Now
that the N9 has been broken I'd just like to see a bracket with their
members (aside from Link) going against the rest of the field. No
Legends bracket, just a regular one. Put the likes of Luigi, Tifa, MMX, Vivi, Kirby etc against the Sonics and the Pikachus just to see how they fare. |
Isn't MWC one of the biggest Link supporters out there You can't really complain about Mario's character while being a hardcore Link supporter. That double standard is way too glaring. No problem! This is a cute and pop genocide of love! |

The Mario RPG’s (except Paper Mario; which is a different character) are all Bowser, Luigi, the enemies, and even Peach pulling their weight. Not Mario himself. |

Retiring Link is probably a good idea. It's difficult to see any realistic future where he loses to a non-rally. Black Turtle did a pretty good job. |

kinda think Mario may wind up being Link levels of dominant in a
Linkless bracket since anyone strong enough to take him down just gets
Hierarchy'd. But let's see how he does against Samus. If all else fails use fire. |
Let's
wait until Mario vs Samus, which is probably the most important match
in the legends bracket since it tests out how rigid the Nintendo
hierarchy is. If Samus beats Mario tonight, then things will get real

I believe that with Fortnite he wins. If only 1 out of 10.000 people
that play the game even bothers to vote he wins everything! So why we exist? What happens when we stop existing? |

Almost every Zelda game has a different Link but there is only one Link for the purpose of the Character Battle. The same applies to Paper Mario and Mario. If all else fails use fire. |

No bulls***, I think you guys are on to something with this Link contest. The bonus poll is clearly a joke, but does beg the question, what exactly is "classic" Link? People seem to forget he was always "young" Link until Ocarina of Time, when one of the draws of the game was seeing what an adult Link would look like. (Smash Bros. using the adult version, and Melee labeling his child form as "Young Link" probably cemented the idea in people's minds.) Seriously, do a contest in which every iteration of Link is in (i.e. OoT/Majora's Mask Link are the same, regardless of age). Match CXXXV: (4) Zelda vs. (6) Sonic the Hedgehog Current Contest Performance Zelda Defeated Ezio Auditore da Firenze, 75.33% - 24.67% Defeated The Boss, 70.70%, 29.30% Defeated Squall Leonhart, 63.32% - 36.68% Defeated Aerith Gainsborough, 62.19% - 37.81% Defeated Solid Snake, 50.32% - 49.68% Sonic the Hedgehog Defeated Auron, 54.32% - 45.68% Analysis This match received a lot of hype during the break, though most of us suspected it would happen a little later in the contest. Even as Zelda defeated Solid Snake there was still some talk about Sonic holding on, maybe Solid Snake is that weak, Metal Gear characters did perform poorly after all. Solid Snake would then go on to break 60% against Auron, sure Auron had a terrible picture, but he was facing Solid ****. The only other explanation for Snake’s turn-around would be Smash Bros. SFF between Zelda and Solid Snake and if that’s true then Sonic isn’t going to be in any better shape. I think it is time to come to terms that Zelda has moved up to Mario/Samus tier or at the very least, is approaching it. Speaking of SFF we could see some here as well. Link did break 70% against Sonic in 2010 so we could see Zelda easily break 60% on him. charmander6000’s Bracket: Solid Snake > Sonic the Hedgehog charmander6000’s Prediction: Zelda wins, 63.17% - 36.83% Match CXXXVI: (2) Samus Aran vs. (7) Mario Current Contest Performance Samus Aran Defeated Tifa Lockheart, 58.93% - 41.07% Mario Defeated Sephiroth, 59.25% - 40.75% Analysis Mario easily wins, it’s the Nintendo hierarchy after all. Could Samus ever become victorious against Mario? Hierarchies do change over time, but in this case, it would be quite difficult. Maybe if Metroid Prime 4 and 5 are the greatest games ever and Mario had a couple of flops people may change their tune, but whether that ever happens will remain to be seen. What is a bit exciting about this match is that we will get our first undeniable proof of the existence of rSFF. With Tifa defeating Sephiroth in the loser’s bracket the stats would suggest a Samus victory over Mario.
