I cannot wait to see the final stats to see who turns out to be stronger: 2B or KOS-MOS.

Not sure about the final stats, but I’d definitely take 2B over KOS-MOS in a real match

41-42% on Bowser is way better than 35% on Ryu, so yeah.

Re: tomorrow, is there a possibility of the "smarter" voters voting for both Sonic and Mario to finally give us Sonic vs. Mario one-on-one? Seems a little far-fetched I suppose but, idk, there's a kind of symmetry to casting votes for Sonic and Mario

Is it really that unbelievable, Sephiroth got like 53% against Kirby in what was more or less a legit match, it's one of the reasons why I went with MMX > Sephiroth in my bracket.

Kirby was heavily rallied by 4chan in that match and people were predicting ahead of time that he would overperform due to standing out against two more "mature" predominantly-Sony guys. That 47% wasn't a normal result. I'm not even sure Kirby would have beaten Big Boss that year in a more neutral match.

Zelda is projected to kill Sonic pretty badly so I'm not sure how much it will help. Zelda getting stuck with a Zelda 1 sprite probably hurts her more.

If Zelda gets more than 55 on Sonic does that well and truly kill the N9?

Forget bandwagons and huge rallies. Most N9 upsets have been won by the odd %.

If there is a proper beaten between a non N9 and a N9 I think that has to be significant enough for us to say there’s no doubt the N9 is truly dead old format or not.

Link has officially reached a doubling on Pikachu. The only thing that could keep Link under a doubling would be the night vote. Pokemon generally doesn't have a good night vote, but Zelda is even worse with the night vote than Pokemon. The Zelda series is very weak in Asia. Pikachu is outright winning over Link in the Philippines, Indonesia, and Malaysia.

Not possible. The NES sprite doesn't ever face right. Had to use the Four Swords model.

His trilogy ended 5 years ago. I love ME but most hardcore ME fans who were probably present during the time it wa huge have probably left slog with many other users with low votals as evidence.

Andromeda sucked balls even though it had nothing to do with him

I expect the Mass Effect games most notably ME2 to do well in future contests but Shepard just doesn’t have any pull here. Far less than he use to.

We'll find out if ME2 has gotten weaker during the next GotD contest since it's eligible for that contest. ME2 should get at least one winnable match before it loses one simply because the bracket will have the lowest average game strength we've ever seen for a Games Contest.

It faces left/right, unless you were asking about Ulti's opinion on her sprite instead. To be honest it doesn't resemble Zelda at all outside of a crown. Doesn't even match her artwork for the Oracles games.

Now yes. Let’s see how detective pikachu does. I still think that trailer hype and release of Pokemon go on switch has helped in considerably. Had this been a summer contest there’s no way he’d beat mega man.

It’s not about resembling Zelda. If it’s her in official form in any official game. It’s her.

And you’re right. Oracles has great artwork.

Next year when people have seen the movie and wanna bandwagon it? Probably more.

People don’t give a s*** about it other than curiosity and surprise about the trailer. Obviously movie could come out and be awesome. Then people will care about Ryan Renalds and voter for him for a laugh because they enjoyed the movie so much. Right now no one cares outside of a minority.

Where's the option for "I love the games of the 90's but The Playstation Classic is an awful piece of junk that emulates terribly, half of its game are slowed down PAL versions, and anyone who buys it without planning illegal modifications of some kind is an idiot?"

Edit: Well, I guess that's a little harsh. I mean, a used copy of PS1 Revelations Persona isn't a whole lot cheaper than it is. But when "I want to play the PS1 version of Persona 1" is the best argument in something's favor, that kind of speaks for itself.

That's because the emulation is garbage and half the games are PAL, making issues even worse. There's frame-pacing (and framerate) problems which didn't exist on PS1, the graphics are warped even worse than usual, the colors are off, there's sound problems in some games, and it's $100 on top of all that.

I truly feel sorry for people that buy the PS1 Classic.

Even Nintendo aren’t that f***ing dumb. They made sure Europeans played their original games in their best NTSC form for all games including VC games(bar a few exceptions I think) especially for NEs/SNES classics.

The high cost of the PlayStation Classic could result from a lot of the games being third-party games, which means Sony having to pay royalties to the developer to include their game in the PlayStation Classic. With the NES Classic and SNES Classic, a greater percentage of the included games are Nintendo games, so Nintendo gets an advantage by owning the rights to most of the games included in the NES/SNES Classic.

He's not even one of my favorite characters in gaming (though I do like him a decent amount). I love his "character" of unstoppable except by bulls*** or 2003 Cloud Gamefaqs contest entrant, though...!

Every contest only further validates that SC2K3 was the best one ever

Wow Pikachu is below Mega Man's 04 result. Is Link stronger than 04 or does Pika get SFFed worse than Mega Man or other.

I really have no idea how strong Link is this year. He will get only one non-Nintendo opponent during this contest, unless Snake completes a successful run through the Loser bracket. The match with Cloud will most likely be our only non-SFF match involving Link.

A great result for Cloud today however not a victory I particularly wanted to see, as I am concerned he won't be able to break 40% on Link. Failing to do so would be a dark, dark day for GameFAQs contests indeed... I would rather just see him lose to Crono.
