I'll come clean here. I actually have no idea which Crono/Vincent match was always used for Crono/Vincent trends.

Damn, maybe Snake will still make this a match. He started cutting early enough that there might be enough time to get a modest lead before the day.

2007. That's the one with the ultra extreme trends.

I will say, despite my projections favoring Zelda by a bit, my gut feeling is Snake wins this. It will be close and Snake should have better rally support.

And he's really taking off now. 67 votes cut in 30 minutes and we are over 49%.

Don't know that it'll be enough, but good to see Snake finally making a move.

He needs a good 150-200 lead before the final 2 hours which imo I like to refer to the European dead zones. I.e most of Europe are in effective.

More like most of America and the Nintendo kids are going to bed.

Looks like Snake could win going by Ocelot-Dedede or Squall-Zelda trends, but not Zelda-Aerith or Zelda-Boss trends.

If it wasn't for the second chance bracket Snake would be killing this. Think of how many extra bracket votes Zelda gained due to looking so strong in the contest and featuring heavily in people's second chance brackets

Night vote has arrived at last.

So looking at Zelda/Aeris, Zelda's percentage didn't hit bottom until the end of the match, and in Zelda/Squall, her percentage only bottomed out about 2 hours before the end. Snake shouldn't need much of a lead to win this because so much of the day vote's power has already been used up with the early start time.

This happens a lot in this contest. Vote totals are small enough that a moderate change within a five minutes period feels like a massive shift, when in reality it's just going to equalize over the next few updates anyway, which leads to 'big' cuts followed by 'big' gains.
