Mega Man needs 7 votes cut per update to win. These baby cuts aren't gonna cut it.

He also needs to cut every update from now on.

If he does that he can do it. But if pikachu stalls or gains back he’s toast unless he pulls off a 70% update here or there.

Kinda nuts looking at the map for this. Almost the entire Western Hemisphere is for MM, and the rest is pretty split but nope.

So far the only match that's changed due to registered voters is Ike/Phoenix Wright (and barely).

I don't know if that was worth it to see MM lose to Pikachu.

This is the first time a NN member loses in a 1v1 24 hour match.

I submitted like 10 Crono backgrounds. He didn't pick anything for Crono at all?

MM is only 76 votes down. One-fourth of a Frog style rally will take care of that.

I'm sure he did, but we just don't know who he chose it from, because it's not anyone who submitted yesterday or posted in the Picsmith thread.

Wow. Nice catch. As bad as Pikachu looked when he first arrived on the scene, his only 1v1 loss to a non-NNer was against someone who has himself mostly only lost to the NN. Of course that's partly because Fox disappeared for just as long as Pikachu did!

You don't have to expand it that much more if you want to include 12-hour 1v1 matches as well...wait, maybe you do, but it's remarkably circuitous between the add-ons.

Of these, only Missingno and Tifa have no 1v1 losses to non-NNers, though Bowser and Charizard's only non-NN losses in 1v1 were to each other.

And honestly? This seems like a fairly good collection of midcarders! Though I'm dismayed that Ryu didn't manage to find his way in here; the guy was the unofficial 10th member of the Noble Nine until his loss to Bowser, but he's yet to beat any of these characters in a 1v1.

True, plus pokemon is almost certainly the more active subreddit. The question is do they care as much about pikachu as mega man fans? Probably not. And in an earlier rally some even mentioned voting for mega man

Man, if only Mega Man was down about 40-50 less votes.

4 upvotes on /r/pokemon isn't "catching on", despite my best efforts.

The Noble Nine are all lead characters, except for Sephiroth. The latest any of them was created was 1997. And, again with the exception of the pair from FFVII, none of them come from the same series. And considering FFVII was the top game on this site for a long long time, it doesn't seem strange that it would have two characters in the Noble Nine. I think that's why the idea has such resonance, more than the winning streak that hasn't really been a winning streak since 2007.
