So this means that Ryu Hayabusa is worth ~44% on Auron. That seems very high to me if we consider that Ryu Hayabusa is the guy who lost to Kefka and Zack Fair together in the poll in 2013 and I don't see any reason why Ryu Hayabusa would boost this year.

Do we think Auron fell a lot this year? His performance on Vincent/Magus/Sub-Zero don't look that great either.

I like to think Geralt has eityer caught a minor bandwagon ny now or perhaps just has a very strong but enclosed fanbase, meaning his percentages aren't too different from match to match.

Just realized Lara Croft has defeated two of my rallied characters before. Never agaaaaaiiiiin!

I'm thinking Auron dropped, but it's hard to tell. Tidus and Yuna appear to have done okay in highsight, but Ganondorf and Alucard still have time to s*** the bed so I dunno.

That Tifa > MMX match was without a doubt a miracle.

Wonder how good Ryu is gonna look at the start.

You know, if the KH decline was as steep as most people seem to think, a Squall fall makes sense in hindsight, given he probably had more of a boost from that than any FF character did

About Zelda vs Snake, I's say he's completely fine. He's been in Smash and is now a returning veteran. Being in Smash is always helpful.

The one character in Smash I'm worried about is Cloud. After all, he may suffer from FFPF!

I've always thought something weird happened in that match. It looked like Hayabusa and Zack were LFFing each other. Yes I know that doesn't make sense but what I'm saying is the result was always weird looking. You gotta assume Kefka SFFed Zack really hard and Hayabusa fell off a cliff, neither one makes a lot of sense to me.

Point is I'm not sure how seriously I take it.

My guess is Ryu H and Kefka being in the same match caused the universe to implode

Analysis

Well that was some match last round between Tifa and Mega Man X. In the end it was Tifa that rallied just enough to win. Luigi on the other hand was able to SFF Tails to the largest blowout of the round.

Personally, I always felt that the winner of Tifa and Mega Man X would be the favourite to win the division. Tifa always appeared to be stronger than Luigi and so far, I am yet to be convinced otherwise. Luigi does have the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate boost to potentially look forward to and we have yet to see it in action, but based on what we have seen I don’t think it will be enough. Tifa has been quite legit and I wouldn’t be surprised if she got the same percentage as she did in 2005.

Analysis

There was a time where some people considered Ryu to have a chance at winning this division. Sephiroth has responded over the three rounds by showcasing his strength. His performance against Amaterasu may have been considered poor, but people forget that she has strength. Ryu also didn’t look great against KOS-MOS. I guess her breaking 40% against Vincent in 2013 may have had been in part due to her strength.

I feel Ryu will still impress in this match. He has both Super Smash Bros. 4 and Ultimate to look forward to while Sephiroth is no longer the dominant force he once was. Ryu has a lot of experience by going up against the Noble Nine and more often than not he is able to break 40% against them.

Awesome performance from Geralt here. As bad as my bracket has been overall, I'm glad I at least managed to predict Geralt's run correctly. 😂

Yeah, I'm not really seeing why everyone is so confident in Luigi since I haven't been too impressed by anything he's done so far. He's just destroyed fodder and put up less on Frog than Bowser in 2010.

Tifa>Luigi won't break anyone's bracket though
There are more dangerous upset picks such as Zelda>Snake that can cause A LOT of lost points
Like, 23 in the leaderboard here (and higher after this round) and I am worrying about other matches so MUCH more

I don't know why but I have a feeling Luigi will win and easily. I thought Ryu had a great chance at the upset before the contest but right now Sephiroth looks safe...he will look awful at the start but probably won't end up in danger.

The Luigi/Tifa result seems like just an 8-point swing right now, which I agree, isn't that bad compared to the gauntlet ahead. Neither will beat Samus in the Legends, and both should lose to Sephiroth in the Losers.

I just looked through those brackets and, once again, for the millionth year in a row, Pikachu is the big wildcard imo. I don't think he'll beat Mega Man right away, but he WILL beat Ganondorf in R1 of Losers (Ganon will be walking fodder after Link is done with him), and that'll set up a Mega Man/Pikachu rematch just a week after the first. That could be a prime target for the "run back" we're all waiting for.

Part of me feels I must be in a very small minority who got all of division 7 perfect so far, so if Luigi loses to shenanigans thatd be lame

MMX lost to shenanigans so it evens out

Tifa > Luigi better happen. That's what my bracket has and I'm inside the Top 20

If you've called Tifa and Tails correctly, then yeah, you're in a real small minority. I also wouldn't count on fap rallies to strike twice, so you might be in a good position.

Going to sleep now. When I come back from work tommorrow I expect Tifa winning via rallies and Sephiroth barely winning.

There's always going to be rallies in close matches. You can't prevent that.
