Zero
probably has more overall character development than X, but across the
MMX series and the MMZ series there's quite a bit that happens to them X being the first robot to be able to think for himself and Dr. Cain using him as the base to create all Reploids and the guilt X feels for playing a part in their creation after they begin going Maverick. The constant friend/rival relationship he has with Zero culminating in their duel to the death in X5 X becoming a pacifist and refusing to fight afterwards until being forced to rejoin the fight and finally ending maverick wars for good and then eventually sacrificing his body to seal the Dark Elf in the Mega Man Zero games and converting his conscience to a cyber elf to look over Zero and help him along the way Then there's Copy X who was the villain of most of Zero games who is a separate character but was created with X's DNA but he's a separate character. I did enjoy potentially having X as the villain though (which was the original plan for the Zero games) |

am a European X voter. Mega Man X is awesome. As a character he is
great, he has far more to him than regular Mega Man, who is just a
mascot (albeit a very likable one - there is nothing wrong with mascot
characters). It always disappointed me that classic Mega Man, including
the X series, never caught on in Europe which is weird because they all
came out here. I don't think it's right of ExTha to just dismiss X's
character development, part of what the X series did to distinguish
itself from the main series was have much more developed story and
characters. There's a reason that Zero is so much stronger than any
non-Mega Man characters, including Proto Man, for instance. I'm not
saying it's high art but it's all very enjoyable and was impressive for
that kind of game at that time. I just decided to change this sig. Blaaaaaaargh BKSheikah |

Mega Man Battle Network was the third ROM behind Super Mario Bros Advance and F-Zero I didn't know it at that time but after I saw Fire Man I started thinking how it's similar to the game I loved a few years ago and researched it Then I fell in love with the series all over again, and it's currently my second-favorite franchise behind Pokemon And this is without even childhood nostalgia for MM2 or MMX 3DS FC : 3411-1762-0066 |
