Sephiroth/Falcon wasn't as extreme of a split between registered and anonymous users as I was expecting. Falcon only did about 3.5% better with registered users in this match after doing 5% better last round against Richter. Sephiroth's extremely terrible board vote is only coming from a tiny segment of the registered users, while the rest of the registered users don't hate Sephiroth as much.

Amaterasu has slightly over a 1% advantage with registered users, while Ryu is slightly over 2% better with them.

KOS-MOS did fairly well with registered users last round (slightly over 2% better), but she is nearly 3% better with registered users this round against Aqua.

No custom match pics for round 3. I don't know about round 4 yet.

Allen would have to post a topic about match picture submissions no later than Tuesday if we are going to have custom match pics for round 4.

So what does Vivi/DK say about Alucard/Kefka?

DK's numbers here are more or less the same as ever, so I feel like DK/Leon was more Leon dropping than DK getting all that much stronger. If that's the case, Tidus once again looks bad, which in turn implies that Yuna would be weaker as well, thus somewhat undercutting how impressive Alucard stomping her was.

60% on weak Yuna > 60% on Bomberman imo

Kefka can still produce the crazy inter-round strength fluctuations he's known for, but I think he's less likely to get those against a beloved classic character like Alucard.

35 people got one wrong but largely stayed around the same place. Just saw that from yesterday. Very nice.

6th place after Round 2, by far the best I've ever done. 4/4 today as well. Going to drop soon though. I have Sora winning the division and Riku winning Round 3, plus Kefka/Alucard and Fox/Aerith are tossups. I also have Zelda over Squall, hopefully that happens to make up for the bad picks.

Normally I'd agree without a second thought, I can't help but wonder if Bomberman received a "Hey, I've at least heard of this guy" boost similar to what Crash and Pac-man are speculated to have benefited from, with the requirement to vote in all four matches benefiting characters that are iconic but not necessarily beloved.

I'm also curious how much, if at all, Alucard's benefiting from the new Netflix Castlevania series. I haven't watched it, but it retrospect I feel like I should have at least taken it into consideration.

I’m not a big anime guy, but I say you should watch this. I thought it was great, probably the best video game adaptation ever—even if that is an exceedingly low bar to clear, haha

After knowing what HG/SS did to Charizard the same year, I think I can at least cast some doubt on this, especially since the front page was a full blown ad for Dark Dawn that day, which had to influenced people as they looked at the poll.

i agree it was good. it might have been a bigger thing if they hadn't done a super short 1st season. Alucard probably got no benefit from season 1, but something from season 2.

Not when your series is in the s***ter because you haven't released a game since the Bush Jr. administration, or because you had a reboot so bad that everyone would rather forget it happened. They gotta earn that respect back.

Vivi and Ganondorf are trending away from each other, which isn't great. It's hard for me to see Vivi doing this well on Dante.

Then again, it's hard to see Dante barely beating Chun-Li, so who the f*** knows with this division.

It kinda sucks for Spyro. He massively boosts up to be able to beat Chun-Li only for Chun-Li to massively boost so Spyro still loses.

Yeah, I suppose this is true. Even in the absolute best case scenario where you assume Wario and Master Hand were equal before SFF, that still only bumps Noctis up to 31.96% on Zero.

I did the xstats -- if Master Hand equals Wario, Noctis still lost to a hand.

As somebody who's predicted every MH-match right and likes the weird thing, you're probably right, but I would be weary on overestimating its lesser opponents.
