As someone who is usually turned off by that kind of game (weeaboo bulls***), you need to play it. It and Destiny 2 were my favourite games of 2017

-Kirby slightly losing ground. Still, I think this is quite an impressive performance.

They don't, that's literally why I said Brock and Misty would have performed better.

Guile had a bad pic but yeah, most of his strength comes from his theme song and SONIC BOOM

It has nothing to do with 'being lumped' with FF. It's purely the fact that the KH franchise has been honeydicking their fans for the better part of a decade, and people finally stopped caring.

Doesn’t hurt to try at some point. Nintendo’s other flagship franchises did it to high critical acclaim.

Mostly.

I will admit that I've never actually played a Kirby game and am not very interested in rectifying that. But I'm largely with the "he's just so darn likeable" camp anyway.

Well Duke Nukem Forever was fairly more than a decade and Starcraft II was pretty dope (WoL at least).

If Kirby finally got a critically acclaimed 3D game, it would probably push him to N9 status.

In terms of cute, colorful, badass, star-themed, early 90s fluff balls, Yumetaro > Kirby.

Well yeah, if people actually cared about Kirby's games, that would probably make him more popular.

Kirby Super Star > Kirby's Adventure > Kirby: Canvas Curse > Kirby 64 > Kirby's Dream Land 2 > Kirby's Dream Land 3 > Kirby Squeak Squad (might actually be better than DL3 but I've played this more recently and remember its issues) > Kirby's Dream Land (never gave hard mode a serious try though) > Kirby Mass Attack (currently playing)

I've only played Triple Deluxe and it was fun.

This match is the largest indictment on the day vote so far. Phoenix has possibly the worst day vote of any character, and Ike still can't make any big moves because Europe is still awake.

Analysis

Despite his poor start Squall was able to look like his usual self, tripling fodder. Garrus on the other hand needed the morning vote to comeback and distance himself from Ramza in a match which he would have easily won in 2013.

Pre-contest this match was never in doubt and now I only suspect the victory will be even larger. The battle for the division will be next round so a good result will likely give him favourite status if he wasn’t already.

Analysis

I think it’s harder to argue against that Metal Gear characters are weaker this contest. After all the underperformances in the first round and watching Crash give Big Boss a scare. Yes, we can argue that maybe Crash is stronger, but at this point we are pretty much arguing that every character that has faced a Metal Gear character is significantly stronger than expected.

Of course, this has no bearing on the outcome of this match. Zelda was always going to easily win, but I do feel she is going to win by more than expected. Perhaps, The Boss has returned back to her 2010 self. It would make her performance against Metal Sonic a lot more believable.

Analysis

I honestly didn’t think D.Va had what it takes to win against Aloy in the first round without a rally. Of course, this says more about Aloy than D.Va. Still it does keep the prospect of a rally in this contest alive, not that I think one will occur.

Fox should have a much easier time winning this match relative to the first round. If anything, he is looking ahead for his match against Aerith.

Analysis

It’s a bit difficult to say how much this was of Aerith performing poorly and how much it was Waluigi being stronger. It was expected that Waluigi would be stronger, but does that mean he’s around the fodder line or is he now a mid-carder?

Of course, this won’t change the result of this match. Captain Toad, or just Toad on the front page should not pose much of a threat. It would however, be quite telling if Aerith struggles to score a large victory against him though.

Still Ike.

Chrom is a character that generates more apathy than anything in the FE fanbase whereas people adore Ike for the most part. Besides, if Lucina, by far the most beloved Awakening character, doesn't look better than Ike there is no chance for Chrom to do so IMO.

I don't think the Smash fanbase will help Chrom that much, most FE additions after Robin haven't been received particularly well and Chrom already looks like the most redundant character in an excellent roster.

Ike>Lucina=Marth>Chrom>Roy

Funny, I really liked Mass Attack.

Also played Kirby 64 and Nightmare in Dream Land (which I think is a remake of the first game). Liked them all, though Nightmare was too easy for my tastes.

Also I completely disagree with the idea that 2D platformers are outdated. 3D platformers are a completely different genre, not an upgrade over 2D platformers. I think Super Mario World is better than SM64 and Sunshine.

I’m starting to think if you’re up by a single percentage by like, 6 AM it’s impossible for the other character to come back
