LOL Charizard. Sora got 45% on Bowser in 2010, so from this results you'd logically conclude Red > Zard which feels off. Pikachu > Red > Zard > Mewtwo?? Pokemon is so weird.

Sora also appears to be weaker now than he was in 2010.

Also, I would put Red below Charizard and Mewtwo. The Pokemon fanbase definitely prefers the actual Pokemon over the human characters.

If Red makes a run through the division it's possible we get Red vs Bowser in losers bracket. A lot of results have to hold for that to happen though.

Agreed. Phoenix HAS to build a lead of several hundred over night or it's over.

That was 100% a bracket making error (as in, a literal input botch) and not consistent with the rest of my bracket whatsoever

I mean it doesn't really matter because I live and (likely die) with D.Va but still.

Is this what being a defense attorney is like?

Even in my "Pokéfear" bracket I have Charizard losing to Bowser!

the fact that you had Charizard vs. Shadow in round 3 should've been a red flag in more ways than one

Yeah you look at that vote map this could get savage at night. Ike may be buried too far to even threaten a comeback.

Although this is potentially the setting where it could happen.

If Ike actually pulled this out it might be the worst result of the contest.

At least most of those FF leads actually didn't stand a chance.

It's strange that no one has made a serious charge with the traditional day vote considering that registered user votes reach their lowest point during this time. Any character who does very poorly with the registered users should perform better with the day vote, assuming that character is also strong in North America.

Of course, the registered user vote is also at the highest point during the Power Hour and still remains over 50% during the ENV, which may also explain Nintendo being so strong in the first few hours. It's possible for me to make a few trend charts without the bonus applied to see how much it really matters.

Well, the registered votes usually favor Nintendo, and Nintendo has traditionally been the best during the day, too, so the effect may cancel itself out.

Sora did technically win the day vote outright from Red, for what that's worth.

The registered voter effect is not very big. If there was a 6 percentage point difference between registered and unregistered voters, the difference between a 70-30 and 30-70 registered-unregistered split is about 2 percentage points.

It has nothing to do with 'being lumped' with FF. It's purely the fact that the KH franchise has been honeydicking their fans for the better part of a decade, and people finally stopped caring.
