And I think a lof of the reason Nintendo characters do well is Super Smash Bros boards are still some of the most active game boards on this site so people come here often for htat

And Nintendo just always has a wide dedicated and passionate fanbase

If Ellie is remotely close to Joel (or stronger?) then this is pretty much what KOS-MOS should be doing.

Quiet is probably being anti-voted for that pic. That's one of the worst of round 1 considering it's not even her fault as much as you can just see particles sticking to her hair.

Only 1 person fell off the Top 50. MrXGamer did not have Sephiroth, Falcon, Amaterasu and Lara winning.

2 people got the match wrong but survived. lordjers and NightTundra also did not have Sephiroth, Falcon, Amaterasu and Lara winning.

I'd certainly pick Ellie over Quiet, so Aqua really needs to put up a huge performance to prove her case against KOS-MOS next round.

Even then, it might not really matter if Quiet is weaker due to that bad picture.

Speaking of pictures, man does default Shepard look blah. I always forget about that since I've never watched anyone play as one.

If they weren't customisable I bet their contest strength would be notably worse (see also: other Generic McDude western characters). Funny to think about that.

2000s stars are f***ing awful now. Drake, Shepard, these two Last of Us Characters, Marston. All generic humans from acclaimed games but do weak in this thing

One of the worst pics of the round sounds about right. The particles are bad. Quiet also has this expression that she doesn't even want to be here. At an awful angle as well.

She wouldn't be winning with a better picture, mind you. But it is still bothersome.

Quite is probably THAT weak. A lot of people didn't like MGSV and her pic is beyond awful.

But I am surprised how badly Shepard has fallen, I guess Andromeda didn't do him any favor even though he was not actually in it

I called it! I said in another topic that Andromeda hurt the Mass Effect name even though Shepard wasn't in it. Too bad. I played it with the patches and it is a good game.

On the other hand, customisability can come at the expense of recognizably.

The patron saint of this being Carl Johnson, who got some random Grove Street thug's pic against Ness because who even knows if that was CJ or not.

Western games/characters also have a bad board vote, so that also magnifies the strong Nintendo vote even more.

The trend has basically been the same every match. Shepard will recover, guys.

Shepard still in this. Nintendo characters have been very front loaded, this is Shepad's worst time probably. He will have a chance at a comeback during the night and the day vote tomorrow.

Maybe we really should try to get Diddy in next year. Donkey finally handed off his choke resume to a worthy successor, and K Rool of all characters now a solid midcarder thanks to Smash.

Diddy might actually be worth something when not facing fellow Smash killer Captain Falcon.

On the other hand, everyone might be crashing down to earth by the time we get to CB XI and everyone is overrated in the x-stats with Smash in the rear view.

I have Noctis and Peach winning in round 2 so those are free matches.

Plus I have no faith in Master Chief > Tails(Nathan Drake) anymore

Everything else I feel has at least a decent chance at happening.

i have Yuna and Warrior there so its not a sure thing i get those. and i had Drake winning round 2 so i cant gain there either.

Augh, I'm so close to the leaderboard (53), but I have to hope Quiet knocks out enough brackets, because I've got a loss in Division 2 thanks to Monika.

Like everyone doubting Aqua because she's from PSP game seems foolish to me because the game's been ported to PS3 and PS4 multiple times, she has her own PS4 game in the lead-up to Kingdom Hearts 3 and I would venture to say she's actually the favorite character of a good portion of the Kingdom Hearts fan base.

As someone in tune with the waifu community I could see this one coming from a mile away

( also on the flipside mgsv is mired in controversy and quiet isn't very attractive in the first place)
