Wow, that update for Magus! I don’t think this will be even as close as the Simon match. Also, why did we buy into this Ren/Joker BS. GameFAQs doesn’t play new games (I know I certainly didn’t play P5)... |

Cloud still has Limit but Limit got nerfed like crazy, which also greatly hurts his recovery because Cloud's recovery is trash when Limit isn't up. I think you're underestimating how fundamentally sound Cloud is. That speed and that moveset can't be made bad just by nerfing his aerials a bit. Not Top 3 anymore, but top 10 I think is still there unless other characters become more broken. I can at best imagine them being around the same tier, and that's only if Ike really is good, cause Cloud will be. |

Beating Auron, who as best as I can tell has been fairly steady, is quite another. "Someday I'll catch up, and then you'll all be surprised!" BKSheikah has the power. He is the one. |

Vincent showing all the chokers and frauds how to really do it. Seriously even if Vincent holds on and wins this, this is already way worse then 2013's choke job (Yeah given that awful pic and all) but that was still truly awful, but to actually drop this to Magus, LOL |

pjbasis posted... I think you're underestimating how fundamentally sound Cloud is. That speed and that moveset can't be made bad just by nerfing his aerials a bit. Not Top 3 anymore, but top 10 I think is still there unless other characters become more broken. Last time I checked his aerials were nerfed more than a bit (could be wrong on this). The bigger issues are Limit and the structural changes to the game. Outside of his dumbass up air, Limit is Cloud's best tool and every time they nerf it he gets a good amount worse. Outside of losing killing potential, Cloud has one of the worst recoveries in the game without Limit, and less Limit opportunities = a lot more opportunities to gimp him. I think the structural game changes will hurt him too. One of the best parts of Cloud is that he had a huge disjointed sword that somehow was still faster and had less landing lag than most other characters' aerials. A lot of characters (including Ike!) have had their landing lag reduced which will help them catch up to Cloud, because I doubt he gets any significant buffs in that area considering how good he was at that in Smash 4. Cloud will be a trap character in Ultimate, who everyone who used him will jump on before they realize the alternatives swordies. And by that I mean Marth who looks completely busted. Black Turtle did a pretty good job. |

would it be surprising for Vincent to lose to Magus? Did you guys see
the last games contest, where CT was miles ahead of FFVII?
