Yu Narukami Victor Sullivan Primrose Monika Velvet Crowe Neptune Godot Cayde-6 Estelle Bright Monokuma Isabelle There are some others that I know from which series they are from at least. But the above I haven't even heard of them. So why we exist? What happens when we stop existing? |

today, I definitely think Pikachu could hold his own with a NNer or two
- I'd take him over Sephiroth and Sonic outright - but I do think Mega

Pikachu
seems like a really perfect fit for the types of characters that make
up the noble nine; it's a shame Pokemon in general had such a large
reactive hatedom at the beginning of these contests. It's always been
weird to me that Pikachu hasn't been in the same general zone as
characters like Sonic. It's like this site had that stereotypical "we're
too cool for Pokemon" teenage years followed by an immediate

Yeah,
I wouldn't say I have more than a passing knowledge of the series, but
I've seen it talked about enough on B8 to know the character's name. Had
no idea what she looked like though. |

Match XVII: (1) Sora vs. (16) Ryo Hazuki Previous Contest Performance Sora - 2013 Round 1: 46.81% against Scorpion (35.00%) and Aya Brea (18.18%) Round 2: 49.36% against Gilgamesh (31.50%) and Yoshimitsu (19.15%) Round 3: 39.96% against Pikachu (40.28%) and Pokemon Trainer Blue (19.76%) Ryo Hazuki - 2004 Round 1: 23.60% against Yoshi (76.40%) Analysis Ryo Hazuki, now that’s a blast from the past. I’m not sure what to expect from him this time around. Shenmue 3 has been announced and there’s a bit of hype for it, but I feel it has dropped since 2015 where Shenmue had a great performance against Grand Theft Auto V. Though I guess you could argue that the game benefitted from GTA anti-votes. Regardless, I expect Ryo to be fodder. Speaking of characters with a hyped third (technically) game, Sora will hope Kingdom Hearts 3 will reverse his fortunes where he performed poorly twice and lost to Pikachu with Blue in the poll. I don’t have too much faith in Sora returning to his noble nine breaking status, in fact, I feel Sora may be in the fight of his life next round. charmander6000’s Bracket: Sora > Ryo Hazuki charmander6000’s Prediction: Sora wins, 70.11% - 29.89% Match XVIII: (8) Neptune vs. (9) Pokemon Trainer Red Previous Contest Performance Neptune - N/A N/A Pokemon Trainer Red - 2013 Round 1: 70.78% against Corvo Attano (19.49%) and Sissel (9.74%) Round 2: 51.58% against Urdnot Wrex (27.30%) and Wario (21.12%) Round 3: 39.10% against Vivi (33.84%) and Squall Leonhart (27.05%) Round 4: 28.20% against Samus Aran (38.48%) and Mega Man (33.32%) Analysis Out of all the characters in this bracket the only one I know nothing about is Neptune. I never even heard about her series until the bracket was released. My gut reaction is that she will be horrible fodder and after doing some research the feeling remains. Pokemon Trainer Red is a bit of a wildcard. In 2010 he was barely beating Ocelot, but in 2013 he looked like he was an elite character. I’m more incline to believe 2013 was a fluke, but I doubt he has returned to his 2010 levels. Match XIX: (5) Crash Bandicoot vs. (12) Cecil Harvey Previous Contest Performance Crash Bandicoot - 2013 Round 1: 42.59% against Wheatley (36.76%) and Tommy Vercetti (20.65%) Round 2: 24.24% against Kirby (51.28%) and Elizabeth (24.48%) Cecil Harvey - 2013 Round 1: 33.72% against Urdnot Wrex (37.37%) and Pit (28.91%) Analysis For the first time I will be going against my bracket. Square characters have been underperforming over the first few days and while it’s possible to explain those poor performances as separate incidences it does give me some concern. Should Cecil underperform I think all, but a handful of Final Fantasy characters will be put on notice. The other reason why I am flipping my prediction is that Crash may not have decreased since 2013 as much as I expected. Spyro had a decent performance earlier this round and while it is weird to link the two characters I feel there is one between the Playstation platforming characters. I think people forget how weak Cecil is, he’s expected to get around the same against Red (through Wrex) as Crash got against Kirby and even with the craziness of Pokemon in 2013 I would have still taken Kirby over Red. charmander6000’s Bracket: Cecil Harvey > Crash Bandicoot charmander6000’s Prediction: Crash Bandicoot wins, 55.24% - 44.76% Match XX: (4) Big Boss vs. (13) Ridley Previous Contest Performance Big Boss - 2013 Round 1: 74.89% against Captain Viridian (13.51%) and Peacock (11.60%) Round 2: 43.63% against Luigi (42.77%) and Ness (13.60%) Round 3: 28.42% against Sephiroth (37.93%) and Kirby (33.65%) Ridley - 2013 Round 1: 43.23% against Zidane Tribal (51.50%) and Spring Breeze Dancin’ (5.26%) Analysis Nintendo has had a great start to this contest, but this will be where they’ll likely suffer their first loss. Ridley does have Super Smash Bros. Ultimate hype, but he wasn’t too strong to begin with. I do expect there to be a bit of an overperformance. Big Boss on the other hand will be looking to win this division. I’m a bit concern of Konami’s treatment of the franchise recently affecting his strength, but maybe GameFAQs lack of playing new games may help Big Boss here. am kind of surprisedeal that so many of you had never heard of Neptune.
Hyperdimension Neptunia has a ton of games in its series and it's a
goofy RPG. This site is all about goofy Rpgs. I am also surprised so many in here expected more out of John Marston. This site rarely cares about action game characters and he's matched up against a much more recognized and popular action game character. I have blundered several matches already, but this one was right where I expected it to be. Also, Cecil is totally screwed. Yay - BkSheikah is the guru champion of awesomeness. |

And overall, I consider myself a hardcore gamer, but these are the characters I had never heard of - Chloe Price Yu Narukami Victor Sullivan Monika Velvet Crowe James Sunderland Kazuma Kiryu Cayde-6 Estelle Bright Hat Kid Ren Amimiya Goro Majima And these are the characters I thought I had never heard of but were apparently in the last contest - Dragonborn John Marston Garrus Vakarian So, yeah.... I'm
inclined to think Tidus, Zidane, Donkey Kong and Knuckles all have a
fair share of strength, but they were doomed to meet in Round 1. If
Cecil wins, it will only prove the afforementioned characters strength;
