i feel like the site did crash, but it was Draven stuffer(s) going into overdrive to stop Link's comeback that did it, not some inside job.

I was disappointed in the game. There was a good game in there but I really felt like I wasn’t who this game was intended for.

Undertale is an incredible game and it's a shame that the board has PTSD from it.

I wonder if the new start time would be counter-productive to rallies. You usually see rallies step into overdrive right as the match ends at midnight, since it will be ending closer to the end of the work day/school day, the matches will be a lot more front-loaded.

Every veteran that hates rallies is a punk. They would literally rather see Link win every single contest and have zero fun.

Draven + the second rallied winner in a row didn't help. Draven was truly awful because the board got invaded by a really toxic community (though B8 had a few bad actors for sure). With Undertale, as much as I hate to say it (and I definitely wasn't happy about another rally like that), the board WAS the toxic community (thanks ExTha!).

I've put 100 hours into the latest D2 expansion, most people I've seen and interacted with treat him like a joke character now

Exactly. Board 8 is every bit as bad as r/LoL.

There were definitely other Board 8 regulars in there. You might well be right though. Still, I think we can agree that there was a definite difference between the two.

With Noctis losing, it's clear that nobody plays any new games here, but I guess Velvet still has that top (left) option.

Eh I still think Velvet looks way more appealing to receive apathy votes, which there should be a fair number of given the intense weakness of both characters involved.

I don't really agree with nobody playing new games here, there are polls on that. Noctis is just trash. Does anyone actually like him?

I have no idea how James even got in and not Pyramid Head. James is an unlikable character, which is partly the point of the game.

I looooove FF15 and good lord Noctis blows. The other 3 party members FAR outclass him.

Draven blocked Snake from beating Link. While Link was stronger than Snake, Samus would have dragged Link down enough for him to lose. Undertale and SSBM halted the Chrono Trigger upset over OoT. Now don't misunderstand. I absolute fall into the group that wouldn't mind watching Link win every contest from here until the end of time. However, it wasn't Link that got robbed by the rallies. Of course you may think that Link and OoT would have won anyways. But that's okay too. Link would be the underdog against Snake due to Samus and would need to pull off a miracle to take the win. Chrono Trigger as a pure unrallied entry putting the fear of god into OoT and making it look mortal is also a pretty cool match even if Chrono Trigger comes up short. It would really make people think about if Chrono Trigger could pull it off next time.

You and yoblazer and etc are big Zelda fans. That’s different. I’m talking about the leon4s of the world who would rather we have no contests than see rallies.

How do you guys feel about Hand/Wario? I took Hand to R3, but I feel like that match could go either way.

I'm shocked that anyone likes hand in the first place. I feel like Wario has much more going for him.

I don’t care for either of them

Wario is more recognizable than Master Hand, and he has a personality and his own game series so he'll have more fans than Master Hand. I can't think of a single reason to pick against Wario in R2. I think it will be an SFF beatdown.

Although I do hope he gets his plumber outfit next time.

He also has two hands, which is twice as many as Master Hand.

Although that didn't work out so well for Noctis.

Wario wears gloves though!

Granted, they're fingerless gloves in his biker outfit, which is another reason why the classic outfit would be even better!

You don't know what is going on inside Master Hand's glove. He could have dozens of hands and gloves and like a family of 4 in there.

Wario's next match picture should just be of his gloves giving the W sign.

i have wario over hand in my bracket but honestly it was a coin flip. wouldn't be surprised at all to see master hand take it

If you played the whole thing it had a way better story than the games it beat did. Though story generally doesn't matter much since the losers here, like DDLC, Life is Strange, and Octopath had better story, just not as good gameplay.

Is Master Hand seriously higher than Wario in the Nintendo hierarchy? Any way you look at it, Wario should be stronger. Playable in Smash and stars in his own (beloved?) game series. Is he seriously that disliked?

not disliked, he's just kinda.... there, and some people (like me) are indifferent to Wario because Wario Land got canned in favor of the microgames junk. While Master Hand is the iconic boss of Nintendo's love letter to most of their series and some third party characters. With Smash Ultimate a little over a month away.

I'd say "stop being deliberately obtuse" but you're the guy at the party who doesn't realize he's the only one enjoying his own company nowadays

nah I don't plan on saying anything else but it's annoying to see someone lie about me so I had to say one thing

I'm just saying as far as being socially awkward goes I'd think you one of the worse offenders on the board based on how you've conducted yourself in the past 10 years or so. In large part due to raging at most board regulars exactly like that guy in the corner you talked about would.

I don't see you doing well in sales. The moment someone would show any signs of backing out you'd flip out on them and shout like a madman about how they're CONFIRMED wrong to not buy immediately and just repeat that ad nauseam when they ask to see other plans

I would watch a show where Ulti, Lopen and Leon all work at a car dealership.
