never understood this Monica issue, it seems just like every other
obscure Board 8 circlejerk character. Board 8 lives in its own little
echo chamber and seems oblivious to gaming trends outside of it. Just means that all the people banking on a rally are completely out of the running now. My Wario to Round 3 pick looking real nice. BKSheikah, my hat is off to you. Welcome to the Guru Champions Club lol xstats |

If you're not aware of this one actually being popular, you're the one in the echo chamber here. I have Wario to Round 3 too! These rallies don't always pan out and she was never even going to get close to him unless a massive rally went off - and if she could do that, it's weird to not have her just win the contest outright. Screw banking your entire bracket on that though. But I wouldn't even say it's too late for her to make a comeback given Undertale's precedent. I don't think she can make a comeback, simply because she has been rallying from the start; When Undertale started it's rally, we instantly knew it, it was making huge cuts every update. It's possible the rally could suddenly catch fire, but I don't see why it would now rather than 10 hours ago. |

willing to accept that Draven might've been legit, but something
definitely seemed weird about Undertale. Didn't only like half a
million people buy the game at that point? And yet it was pushing out
consistent 700-800 vote updates against Melee for awhile. So something
like 20% of the people who even bought Undertale not only saw the
rallies but voted for Undertale over Melee/RBY/etc.? Courage is the magic that turns dreams into reality. |
You don't have to play or even particularly like Undertale to vote for it. |
Against
Mass Effect 3 definitely, but it's hard to believe that RBY, Melee, and
Ocarina would get voted against in masse just because some stranger

That was just the Steam sales, and that number climbed to over a million during the contest IIRC. The key thing is that that was all in a very short period of time. The Undertale hype was real. The site going down for Draven vs. Link however, no way was that legit. Anyway, the only character who has the zeitgeist the way Draven and Undertale did is Waluigi.
