I’m hardly some anime nerd and even I loved it. It has very unique storytelling.

The first one hour or so is boring af but it's all a set up for the real greatness.

This is by FAR the most likely outcome. DDLC isn’t Undertale, which came out 2 months before a contest started. She might catch a rally sure, but she might also get like 8% of the votes.

Wario may as well be Mario when it comes down to Wario vs Monika. She's that unknown to the majority

The only rally I've ever had a problem with is Draven. And that's not because of the results themselves, or anything to do with Draven as a character. I just hated that contest because that rally seemed to solely attract the dumbest, most obnoxious taint-lickers on the Internet. Board 8 was insufferable while they were spewing their tripe.

DDLC fans seen like they'd be much better company, and the meme potential is through the roof. But I also love Wario, so this match really is a win-win for me.

I just hope Master Hand doesn't win. >_>

Is this the point where you ignore my post reminding you that you said, at minimum, she'd be making the finals?

i only took monika over wario because i refuse to trust wario for any reason
the reddit topics here made me go with MH > noctis and monika > MH
i don't feel good about anything tonight

My gut right now tells me this fizzles into nothing and Wario takes it easy. I also have Monika winning, but I dont think 3 lost points will kill me.

Be so funny if the rally only got off the ground because paranoid B8ers picking her to go far out of fear of a rally end up being the ones to propel the rally to protect their brackets

Rally potential just isn't there. r/DDLC is just a tiny fraction of the size that LoL was. And now she'd have to overcome the fact that most of her votes are going to count as half. Her game is also well past its prime. And, when it comes to these characters, their weakest performance is always in the first round. If she was against fodder, maybe. But Wario is just too iconic to just fold to someone like Monika.

The LoL fanbase is pretty terrible, yep. It did give us Buttfurious though.

I'm not too worried about Monika. D.Va is the one that scares me.

I deadass have D.Va winning her division. I think having such an easy R1 match will really help her gain momentum.

D.Va is going to fold so hard. I made a post on their Reddit about the contest and just got downvoted immediately. The 1.5 million subs there is deceptive, because that place is essentially exclusively used for PotGs. Any other kind of post just gets buried. Not to mention, D.Va is a character that's kinda in a weird place. Some people really love her, and others just hate her. Wouldn't surprise me if users she brought in would vote for the other guy. And lastly, remember Kerrigan hype? Yeah, I don't trust Blizzard characters after that.

I'm a little less worried about D.Va now because apparently someone from B8 tried to rally her in advance and it got downvoted to the ground.

Well, the reddit for FireEmblemHeroes is very active, as is the normal Fire Emblem reddit, and, as far as I can tell, doesn't have rules against rallying. AS I happen to be a regular on both, I'll likely be trying that route.

I decided to take a look at how much 2x registered voters has effected results so far:

First number is the official result
Second number is the result if registered users were only 1x
Third number is Registered users only
Fourth number is Unregistered users only

First number is the difference between official results and a 1x Registered users result.
Second number is the difference between Registered only and Unregistered only

0.27% | 1.65% | Dante

If we continue to maintain a roughly 50-50 split between registered and unregistered votes, there needs to be a 6 percentage point difference between registered and unregistered users to produce a 1 percentage point difference between the official result and the classic "1x registered user" result. It really doesn't matter that much.

Current projections:

Yu needs to be able to beat Neku with at least 57.35% for Vivi > Ganondorf

If Yu = Dragonborn, Vivi beats Leon with 59.78%

If DK = Leon, Tidus beats Dragonborn with 63.82%

I know there's one for primarily discussing game strategy, and another for the Overwatch League.

like do they see their game as a lifestyle and not just a game?

i don't know how else to phrase this, so let me explain: when I went to PAX East during LoL's height, the LoL booth was MASSIVE, as big as Nintendo's, and there was a constant crowd of people hanging around for THREE DAYS STRAIGHT. Not even playing LoL, just listening to devs talk and watching matches and stuff. There were five on-stage proposals during those three days. Five! Five people chose to make a life-changing decision at the LoL booth at PAX East. Seeing all that, the Draven rally being so hard-hitting and unbeatable made sense to me.

Is there a culture like that surrounding Overwatch? Do people spend money to travel to cons just to sit around an Overwatch booth? Or is it just a game to them?

I've heard a lot about Tracer so maybe.

Btw how did Tracer not get in?
