Dragonborn could beat Yu and there would still be a good amount of wiggle room for Vivi to beat Leon. (Dragonborn also isn't good so I could easily see him losing to Yu outright) Black Turtle did a pretty good job. |

Barring
a DK choke, this result means Tidus will have only gotten out of the
first round once in the last six contests. He hasn't finished first in a
poll since 2005. I imagine he's got to have the fewest wins of any
character who's been in every contest (since it's not a long list beyond
the Noble Nine). Poor guy. |

think the comparison point to watch for here might be Zidane/Knuckles.
If Knuckles blows past Zidane, I think the idea that DK was just
stronger in CBIX because of Returns than him simply being stronger now
because he's Nintendo gains a little credence. It could be a combination

think 2015 was mostly "90s stuff looks good." Nintendo and Square
dominated the Games Contest (aside from Undertale) like they always do. It's kind of weird that being old is good for games but not so much for characters. |

I mean Tidus is the only indication of an FF debuff thus far and everyone's calling for it so whatever Knux only got 52% on Cecil friggin' Harvey and looked like crap against Celes/Seifer combined in 2013 so if he could defeat Zidane easily I'd chalk that up more to Knux being stronger than Zidane just suddenly falling off the face of the earth, especially with how dominant Vivi looks right now |

It's
all the Smash Bros. effect. Unless we get some rallies, this will be
all Smash Bros characters, all the time. Realistically, you could have
18 of the final 32 characters - plus all 8 legends - be characters from
Smash. AND you could realistically have 12 or 13 of the 16 Division finalists be Smash characters - Ganondorf Donkey Kong??? Pikachu/ Yoshi Poke Trainer Red Peach??? Bowser/ Charizard Kirby Zelda Fox (Waluigi??) Bayonetta/ Pac-Man/ Rosalina/ Simon Luigi Mewtwo Ryu Now that I think about it, maybe that's why Sephiroth got left out of the Legends - because he's the only Noble Nine member that's NOT in Smash Ultimate.... edit....
