It's cool that Quiet made it in. Meryl deserves a run too I think, also Otacon. I like a high MGS ratio in my brackets. Otacon got crushed by Magus last time. I think we're good not seeing him anymore. |

kinda hate that Zelda vs. Squall match. I feel like Zelda should be
stronger now and Squall will be equal or weaker, and whoever wins could
win a few matches after that too. How much stronger than Zelda was
Squall back in 2013? All the stars in the sky are waiting for you. |

That being said, Squall's been decently ahead of her in the X-Stats in most years (2006 being the exception, but the last few rounds of the Female Bracket were wonky). |

matches. A lot of them look like they're worth more than 1 point as

quite surprised that Samus had the second most nominations of the Noble
Nine and Mario is the 7 seed. If I was told they were 2 and 7 I

I'm
not sure what to think of the Noble Nine except Seph getting only to
face division winners. I generally don't like this thing too much,
except for perhaps removing Link. I don't expect any matches to be
different the second time we have them. On the other hand, it's set up
so we can almost certainly get the hierarchy we wanted set in place for

Everything
is locked in, with the assumption of no rallying. Probably not likely,
but I don't want to spend days debating which one or two characters will

We've
already gotten a site alert promoting the contest, but the site alert
is currently limited to just registered users. As we get closer to the
end of the bracket entry period, I assume the site alert will be made

So...at a glance, some quick thoughts on the first round: Kefka/L-Block has been appropriately called a trap match. L's more consistent (?!), but I'm going in with Kefka. Sans/Pac-Man is probably a trap too -- going with Sans. Fun to think we may see two former contest champions eliminated in the first round. What a contest. If people are looking at Mewtwo over GLaDOS as the favorite, be my guest. GLaDOS has established herself well enough that I don't care much that Portal 1 dropped -- she looked great last contest and looked more legitimate despite Mewtwo's run to the championship round. Mewtwo has a chance, sure, but this is her match to lose. This is more of an upset, but I don't respect Lightning at all and think Chloe's taking it home. Waluigi's the all-or-nothing character this contest. I'm betting and praying for nothing. Magus/Vincent is funny, I just wish the winner (Vincent) got to face Phoenix.
