Yeah, the wording of the options is typical Allen in terms of not doing a very good job at wording the individual poll options. The wording of the last 2 options wouldn't be as terrible if the cut-offs for Classic and Ancient were 15 and 30 years respectively (instead of 10 and 20). At least with those cut-offs, a game released before 1989 would be considered Ancient in my opinion. Still doesn't really solve the bad wording of the last 2 options (the Classic and Ancient terms should be dropped and replaced with something much better).

If 5 years is pretty old, 2008 games can be classic.

And there are enough gamers that would consider things pre-PS2 as ancient. Actually surprised he picked such good numbers to create an almost normal distribution.

Oh I dunno, Ignis and Gladio being far more interesting? After chapter 8, Noctis became a little b**** to me. You knew going in what the price was, and if you didn't then you don't know your own country's history. Had Gladio chopped his head off and taken the ring right then and there it would have been great.

also "knowing what the price is" doesn't make it easy to do

but yeah it would've been great because Gladio would've exploded the second he tried to put the ring on himself

I would have accepted Prompto. Actually Ignis is pretty great too. Gladio's the only real whiff for me. I don't really like Ardyn either even if his story was technically interesting.

I keep seeing Gladio's name and am briefly but repeatedly confused why there is no mention of Portal.

Gladio is my exact type of character. Rugged beefy dude, like Auron or Iron Tager or T. Hawk. Good times.

Squall is definitely one of the guys cooler than him though. I'd put Sephiroth in there just for the Kingdom Hearts stuff.

Coolest guy is the one who jumps out an airship with bombs strapped to him, blows himself up on the fall down, and survives in good enough shape to work on an airship like a day later.
