Would
anyone be able to challenge Auron in a Supporting Cast Contest? Many
years ago I would have said Vincent was the favourite but time has not

Is Zelda a supporting character? The series is named after her and I'd argue she's a main character in games like Spirit Tracks but is a supporting character in say Majora's Mask. |

say 2001 is hampered a bit for losing Halo, but it finally got MGS2 and
DMC. This is probably as strong a lineup as it got last round. 97 got

rounds, since people who've been voting in the contest will know that
Goldeneye came out in 1997 by now (probably). But we'll have to see how

think general arguments is that Mario Kart had the better designed
courses while DKR had a lot of advancements and bells and whistles. I can't remember MK64 courses but honestly... I dunno how many gamers are out there who can break down what a well designed cart race track even is. I think people just prefer the one their parents bought for them. MK64 is loads more popular than DKR, so yes, it would be much more "useful" to 1997's chances. Mac Arrowny posted... Are there actually people who think MK64's single player was better than DKR's? I didn't really enjoy DKR's weird single player mode, so yeah. |
2001 Final Fantasy X / Grand Theft Auto III Super Smash Bros. Melee / Metal Gear Solid 2 Paper Mario / Golden Sun Advance Wars / Devil May Cry 1997 Final Fantasy VII / Castlevania: Symphony of the Night Diddy Kong Racing / Age of Empires Harvest Moon / Tekken 3 Star Fox 64 / Fallout With the exception of maybe flipping their first two rotations 2001 pretty much has its best case scenario. 1997 lost two out of its four strongest games and 2001 easily wins rotations 2-4. Final Fantasy VII / Castlevania: Symphony of the Night vs. Chrono Trigger / Earthbound, who wins? Add the fact that 2001 has a stronger line-up relative to last round and I'm back on the 2001 train. I just love the fact that I could lose $1000 and the guru because of match pics. So great! BTW, in the last contest, I would've won the guru if Chrono Trigger would've beaten Melee and FF7. I was pretty salty after that rally, and now this... Hopefully FF7/SOTN still have enough strength to pull this off. |

2001 is also the bracket favorite, so if 1997 is within striking distance at the freeze, it probably wins. |
