okay, yeah, this rotating pictures thing is going to be tragic to brackets.

I wonder how many people are going to wait that long

So what's the consensus for the strongest years on this poll? I'm guessing it's going to be 1985, 1987, 1991, 1992, 1995, 1996, 2001, 2007, 2008, and 2013?
and I think 1985 has a whole new life with this picture format.

Nice job DpObliVion for ranking 4 spots ahead of me and winning the BGE15 Guru Contest!

I think this is the least I've ever trusted a board vote. I trust Sephiroth more than the first five minutes of this thing.

wow, that's terrible. I mean, kinda neat, but the implications for the contest is terrible if the voters don't stop and watch the whole thing scroll by. And if they do, they're going to be left going, "wait, and what was in those years again?"

What had once looked like it was going to be about the game with the best front 4 or so is now looking like it's back to the best anchor. I guess I should have taken 95 after all.

I must have just moved the mouse when I tried it.

Still, this layout is really bad at conveying key information, which is bad when you consider that anyone voting does not have photographic memory of what games came out in what years.

Very low vote totals at the freeze. I guess it should get a little bit better once we're out of the Wildcard Round.

Historically low vote totals would not surprise me now, given how confusing the match pictures are.
"Ah, a party! We haven't had one of those. It could be fun. So... what is a party?"

man, I can't believe that this is what we're getting. a visitor doesn't even know what they're voting for.

I can picture so many weird upsets. it's not hard to picture most voters seeing FF8 vs. 007 and voting purely based on that, or Mario 3 vs. Perfect Dark, or who the hell knows

Oh, man. I had no idea 1987 had so little support against 1995. I guess everyone took The Show's advice to heart. I changed to 1987 at the last minute, though. I'm probably screwed now. You could call it my big upset special of the contest. The rest of my bracket is pretty much cookie-cutter.

It's a good upset to have, Zelda is riding high, and 1995 is resting solely on CT, which let's be honest, wasn't impactful to the history of videogames.

The animated pics would work better if it was one match at a time instead of two...but seeing four flashing pictures at a time is too much to focus on. I feel myself disciplining my brain on how to focus and take time on what each year's trying to convey.

BUT HOW CAN I FOCUS WHEN MEGA MAN 2 IS SNUBBED

I wish it didn't always displays the games in a certain order .. if that happened the whole contest (which it won't, of course) Ulti might win this thing. 1990 and 1985 both seem to have a better shot now.

This picture format really sucks

Then again, I feel like most formats for this would probably be not that good.....in theory I don't dislike a year contest but when taking into account match pics I don't think it's a very well conceived format.
