Fallout 4 does pretty well during the early vote and Power Hour, though that might be more on both games not having a good early vote. Most WRPGs aren't known for having good early votes. The Witcher 3 dominates the night vote and carries that over to the early part of the morning vote. Fallout 4 has an excellent day vote here and does slightly better near the end of the day vote when Europe was starting to go to sleep. If this poll had been a lot closer, we could have seen Fallout 4 eating away at The Witcher 3's lead with the day vote. Instead, this poll being a fairly boring 55-45 result meant that Fallout 4 even with its good day vote wasn't able to win a single hour over The Witcher 3. The MGS4/Brawl 1v1 GotY poll was far more interesting than this poll, since that one at least had MGS4 taking the lead overnight only to get buried by Brawl during the morning and day vote. Geolocation results for this poll were also pretty interesting since most of the map was in favor of The Witcher 3. The Witcher 3 was hanging some pretty ridiculous numbers on Fallout 4 in Europe, with percentages of 70% or a higher in most of Europe (including a 91.82% in Poland). The Witcher 3 also put some huge numbers in Asia and South America, along with above average numbers in Oceania. It is pretty clear that The Witcher 3 has a very strong night vote on par with the likes of Final Fantasy games. Fallout 4, not surprisingly, was at its strongest in the US. The Witcher 3 only barely managed to win the US and it was the US morning/day vote that really fueled the strong day vote for Fallout 4 since The Witcher 3 lost over 1.5% in the US during the morning/day vote. Fallout 4's Geolocation trends seem to be pretty similar to that of Kingdom Hearts - strong in the US, Canada doesn't care as much about Fallout 4, and weak everywhere else. This
year's GotY was a battle between 2 Western games, so we were going to
get a Western game winner no matter what happened. It should be a trend
from now on to expect Western games to dominate GotY voting on this
site, at least until Japanese games start making a huge comeback. We
haven't had a JRPG GotY winner since FFX in 2001, but that long drought
might end if FFXV does come out this year and turns out to be a very

I think Nintendo is the best Japanese company right out there right now. Only a few non-Nintendo Japanese games stood out for 2015. I really think this is the worst generation we're having in gaming. that, Xenoblade X, and Bloodborne (plus Fire Emblem Fates coming out

Between that, Xenoblade X, and Bloodborne (plus Fire Emblem Fates coming out next month), this is gonna be a really busy gaming year for me. Thing is, The Witcher 3 is also on PC along with a bunch of other games. So that only leaves XCX and Bloodborne, and the latter simply isn't enough to persuade me to buy a PS4, especially because a lot of its games are on either the PS3 or PC or both. I simply cannot help but think that the PS4 and Xbox One are inferior to the PC in terms of hardware and games. The exclusives on either system is not enough to spend hundreds of dollars IMO. All power to you if you enjoy the exclusives, but for me I'm not persuaded. And I am staying far, far away from FE Fates. That stuff should have stayed on the PS Vita, I steer away from what I feel is otaku-pandering trash. I want nothing to do with them. Oh, and I hate reading books. After just slightly over 2 years into the PS3's lifecycle, it had 36.59% ownership. voted the 4th option, but man this was a poll was poorly worded and
that the choices didn't really cover all the reasons why one might
prefer classic gaming over modern gaming. The thing I miss the most is how you can just get straight to the game without needing to read walls of text or watch a cinematic movie in the beginning. It also occurred to me that the Pokemon 20th anniversary is coming up on February 27th, which means we could have a favorite Pokemon game poll on that day and then do a 1v1 poll on February 28th. Of course, the 1v1 poll really does need to avoid the same kind of poll question that made the FFVI/FFVII poll not translate accurately to an actual contest match.
