Getting back on point, I'm still waiting for Xenoblade Chronicles to beat Undertale. Even
if a rally somehow did take off on Tumblr, at least the lead wouldn't
be as large. This poll appears to be on track to finish with 20000
votes normally and with the percentages right now, The Witcher 3 wins by
2406 votes. Not something that is impossible to take down at this

Undertale came 6th on Gamespots user voted GOTY. http://www.gamespot.com/articles/witcher-3-triumphant-in-gamespot-peoples-choice-go/1100-6433550/ Crazy how 62% of the site preferred witcher. I mean it's the best game of the year but thats just pure domination. It has to be said Gamespot is far more PC gamer driven site than here. Yeah,
the developer rallied that poll on their Facebook page. They haven't
rallied the GameFAQs poll, but it doesn't even need a rally. Also,
GameFAQs doesn't make it easy to rally for a regular PotD since you
can't vote from the poll results page, meaning you can't link to the

When
the developer for The Witcher 3 didn't rally for their game in the
Best. Game. Ever contest, the most likely explanation that was thrown
around was they don't seem to care about winning a Best. Game. Ever
contest. After all, the game has only been out for a few months and
maybe they felt that wasn't enough time to decide whether the game
actually deserved the title of Best. Game. Ever. The developer only
seemed to care about rallying for their game in pre-release hype polls
and Game of the Year polls, so the possibility of them rallying in a

I don't see any signs of an Undertale rally kicking in before 8:00 PM
EST, I think Undertale can be declared dead at that point. We're about 2

Based on X-Stats: Witcher 3 vs Bloodborne - Witcher 3 with 61.46% Witcher 3 vs Undertale - Witcher 3 with 66.40% Currently: Witcher 3 vs Bloodborne - Witcher 3 with 62.50% Witcher 3 vs Undertale - Witcher 3 with 65.94% That's pretty surprising. --- My bracket got smashed by DpObliVion. think they said they would've considered rallying Witcher 3 if they had
known about the contest earlier. They weren't contacted until the match

though it's been close every time, W3 should be the favorite tomorrow.
It's won the last two and won with bigger margins, and today's more
important than their other past polls. Anything can happen when the
field narrows to three tomorrow (normally)...but it's W3's title to lose

we don't really have a good reference for Fallout 4 (it's not gonna be
near 3's level) besides W3 itself. Given that we're talking about
potential Witcher adjustments of just a couple percent, I don't think we

Hey, we can also judge by Undertale! Interesting choice to go one-on-one. It would have been understandable to keep Bloodborne in too since traditionally we have three games in the final-GotY, plus it and Undertale have beaten both of these games before...but this is fine since they've been so close and are the two strongest games this year. --- DpObliVion wins the contest and fills you with determination. dunno, I feel like if we didn't get CT vs. OoT in the bonus polls, we
would be best off saving the potential match up for a near-future Games
Contest (possibly Game of the 90s or an '85-'99 timeline) contest where
prize contention and bragging rights are at stake. Then again, FF6 vs. FF7 proves that these are two different environments anyway, so it's not a huge deal. --- Agent Triple Zero at your service! DpObliVion is the new greatone. Congratulations to our Guru overlord. |

still would have lost to Melee and likely would've lost to RBY after
that so it's not worth getting upset at Undertale about it, especially
since it had entertaining matches against both and crushed our godking

I don't think being asked which game is better is exactly the same thing as being asked which game is your favorite. This poll was a victim of a poorly worded poll question. The 1v1 poll got about 8000 votes less than the large 14-way poll, which seems to support the idea that people were abstaining from the poll because they played only one of the games (or neither game). Some made arguments that OoT would SFF Melee but I think if it got the rally it got against Undertale,it would have won it. And even if it didn't, CT, FFVII and Pokemon would have died to it so yeah. |

Since the poll was on 11-27 (which is Black Friday) the developers were out of the office for Thanksgiving weekend. Even though info about the contest was sent Wednesday night, they didn't get it until the following Monday morning. The developer apologized and said that if he had more notice, they would have absolutely rallied for support. If not for the holiday weekend, Witcher 3 probably would have made the Final 4. We may have even seen an epic Undertale/ Witcher 3 Rally-Fest. --- Yay - DpObliVion is the guru champion of awesomeness. |

Today's
1v1 poll is definitely pulling in less votes than the overall GotY poll
we had yesterday and is on track for about 18000 votes. The only other
time we had a 1v1 GotY poll was MGS4/Brawl and even that poll got more
votes than the overall GotY poll. Possible reasons for the lower vote
totals on today's poll could result from both of today's games being
WRPGs, along with them being next-gen only games. In the case of the
MGS4/Brawl poll, both games were on systems with better ownership at the
time of their poll (36.59% for PS3, 62.66% for the Wii) compared to the
ownership of the PS4 and Xbox One at the time of today's poll (52.54%
for PS4, 22.59% for Xbox One). Although both of today's games are

Well,
there are a few where I'm interested in the series (like Mass Effect
and Dark Souls), but since I'm very unlikely to catch up on the series

This I agree on too, but I'll probably play it because I have this thing of wanting to play everything that has characters in Smash. No Man's Sky and Mirror's Edge Catalyst though, almost voted for them.
