This makes no sense There is no reason at all for Undertale to lose to BOTH Witcher 3 and Fallout 4 when it beat them before Unless Undertale was rallied in the PC poll, which it didn't based on the low vote totals And I don't buy the "I played those games on PS4 but I won't vote for them because this is a PC poll" Who does that?! --- 3DS FC : 3411-1762-0066 |
For
each game in today's poll, I went back and obtained the vote totals for
every game that appeared in the polls over the past several days. In
the case of Fallout 4 and The Witcher 3, I took the vote totals they got
in the PS4, Xbox One, and PC poll and combined them together. The 8
games in today's poll managed to pull in a combined total of 43823 votes
from the past several days of GotY polls. The results would look like
this: Bloodborne 10.34% 4532 Fallout 4 20.74% 9088 Final Fantasy Record Keeper 7.59% 3325 Resident Evil HD Remaster 8.21% 3599 The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D 10.88% 4769 The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt 21.09% 9241 Undertale 8.34% 3654 Xenoblade Chronicles X 12.81% 5615 TOTAL VOTES 43823 Bloodborne's percentage is underrated by about 5% here. Fallout 4 and The Witcher 3 have percentages that are only slightly less than what they are actually getting today. Record Kepper and REHD Remaster are both overrated here, likely as a result of both games winning a very weak poll. Majora's Mask 3D is also slightly overrated as well. Undertale is actually performing better in today's poll compared to the combined results from the past several days of GotY polls. Don't forget Bloodborne also won its poll. This is pretty weird. I hope we at least get a final Witcher 3/Fallout 4 match out of this, especially since if Witcher 3 holds the lead they'll be 2/2 in polls against each other. --- Got wrecked in the Guru by the dastardly DpObliVion! |

hope Undertale can at least finish in the Top 3 today so we can see
what it can do when we move onto the final GotY poll with only 3 games.
Undertale would have to jump ahead of Bloodborne to finish in the Top 3
and it's losing by less than 100 votes to Bloodborne. Judging from the
trends, I would think Undertale has the advantage over Bloodborne
during the day vote. Bloodborne lost the day vote to FFXII during the

I
think Bloodborne and Undertale are pretty easily explained: FO4 and W3
are on more systems than just PS4 or just PC. It's not like these are
Nintendo games; exclusivity can hurt sometimes. W3's up to as big of a lead as it's ever had on FO4 before...wonder if there is a SmartFAQs-effect going on. Surely we're not the only ones who noticed how many matches together they've had, and Wylvane's talked about FO4's hype becoming ho-hum upon release. A few people might be changing their minds. Either way, anything could change if we get a final-GotY tomorrow. --- DpObliVion wins the contest and fills you with determination. My bracket had a bad time. |

It
annoys me how the selections for this poll 'have' to draw from each
previous day. Why do FF: Record Keeper and RE HD deserve to be here more
than MGSV, for instance? I know it's to give each day 'validity', but
there are some instances where you should excersize some critical
thinking and realize those games only won because their respective
consoles produced pretty much nothing of value, and that they only won

I
believe that the winner of each poll should get a representative. If
they weren't going to be placed in the overall GotY then a poll
shouldn't have been held in the first place. As for MGSV the game did pretty badly in the XB1/PC polls so it doesn't really deserve to be here. Even in the PS4 poll it finished 4th --- Congrats to DpObliVion for winning the guru. |

Where
do you draw the line for indie games? If you stretch enough even
Nintendo could be considered indie back in the late 70s-early 80s. Would

comes down to how people vote. If you played Witcher 3 on the PC you
may not vote for it on other consoles because to that voter Witcher 3

was talking more about people that didn't vote at all in the other
polls. We're going to get 8-9k more votes than the highest vote total
console poll. Those voters are unsurprisingly favouring multi-platform

Also poll does make sense. IF you add up Witcher and Fallout votes from all platforms Witcher wins by around 200 votes. Undertale was only a PC game so if you factor in Wticher 3 and Fallout's console users that would put undertale at a major disadvantage. --- Superman 64 is a better game than Undertale |

Like you expect simple 10 minute quests and they lead to 2 hour Epic storyline quests. It's amazing how well they are written. The thing is , it's seems quite likely (considering it happened twice in a row and the votals keep dropping), that next contest will have another game rallied. But honestly, I think the Melee rally proved that you can't avoid it. Even if you only put oldish characters / games and try to avoid new stuff and and "jokes" (lblock), we might still have GTA finally getting a big rally, or maybe WoW will finally do it or dozens of others possibility. |

The fact it is a contest would already provide boosted vote totals relative to the regular PotDs. We've only gotten 4 digit vote totals on exactly one poll in the past 10 years and it was last year's Mobile GotY poll. This year's Mobile GotY poll somehow got 5 digit vote totals.
