Undertale's
max lead in this poll has been 148, which was achieved on the 3:50 AM
update. After that point, The Witcher 3 took over with the night vote
and got it under 100 before Undertale used the morning vote to push it
back up to 142. The Witcher 3 has been slowly cutting, although it

I'm
really surprised Fallout 4 has consistently outdone the Witcher 3. The
latter has gotten so much praise across these boards I thought it was a
shoo-in, while Fallout's reception was much more lukewarn. I guess this

If

I
just listened to the audio version of that Link vs. Sans cartoon. It
turns out all the lines I thought were Link's were also Sans's. Well,
that makes it pretty lame. I guess I'm used to thinking of Link as the

Undertale could probably win the overall GotY poll as well, since it should have a fairly dedicated fanbase that won't jump ship to another game despite an overall stronger group of games. The real test for Undertale is the final GotY featuring only 3 games, if we have that poll this year. The final GotY means Undertale is going to have a hard time boosting its vote total to match up with the other 2 games getting more votes as well. Looks
like we are getting a combined PS3 and Xbox 360 poll since there
probably weren't enough games released on those systems in 2015 to do

It's
not like it's facing tough competition. Though an HD remastering of a
remake of a PS1 game winning pretty much spells the end of the PS360. I
do think it's disengenious to not have MGSV in that poll; I don't see

in the previous topic, I stated that Allen has inserted enough polls
into the database to last us until January 7th. We're already 5 days
into the GotY polls and if the January 7th poll is the final poll before
the overall GotY, we might be looking at a combined 3DS/Vita poll

suspect the handhelds are combined too, yeah. I expect the Vita to
look obsolete while the LoZ-games dominate, especially MM3D. Maybe

W3 missing might help FO4 more since another big-budget game is out, or it might help Undertale more since W3 was the next strongest PC game. The
combined PS3/360 poll is on track to get less votes than even the Xbox
One poll. Today's poll has 1238 votes at the end of the first hour,
most likely putting the final vote total below 13000 votes. The
combined 3DS/Vita poll will probably get better vote totals than this. Less
than 1 hour left until the Mobile poll. This is going to be 24 hours
of boring GotY action as the Mobile poll ends up getting less than 10000
votes. Based on the vote totals of last year's Mobile poll along with the drop-off in vote totals over the past year, tomorrow's poll is projected to get 8148 votes. This doesn't take into account the overall quality (and interest) in the games that will appear in tomorrow's poll, but I think that would be irrelevant since most of this site doesn't care about Mobile gaming. Pokemon
Shuffle Mobile got a strong early vote but quickly dropped off hard
after the freeze kicked in. Right now, it's a heated race between
Fallout Shelter and Final Fantasy Record Keeper, with Fallout Shelter
currently winning right now. These vote totals aren't quite as bad as I thought they would be. Last year's Mobile poll got under 10000 votes. Based on the early vote totals today, this poll is probably going to break 10000 votes. Well it wouldn't advance to the final-GotY, but it should be in the overall-GotY. In a worst-case scenario for FO4: Fallout Shelter comes back to win today's poll, Bloodborne and Undertale prove beating FO4 was no fluke, SBAllen allows Witcher 3 in the overall-GotY since it also beat FO4 once, and Shelter costs FO4 enough against Witcher 3 to prevent it from advancing to the final-GotY. just realized W3's win over FO4 was bigger than FO4's combined wins
over W3. One win for 345 (on PC) VS two wins combined for 192 (64 on

I'm
glad SB took the small liberty of adding W3. Other times I think it
could have been (less but still arguably) justified would have been
advancing Red Dead Redemption along with Mass Effect 2 in 2010, Batman:
Arkham Asylum with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 in 2009, and Metal
Gear Solid 3 with Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas in 2004. RDR, B:AA,
and MGS3 would have been competing more for second place than first like
W3 is aiming to do, but they also didn't get their proper due compared
to other games that got to the overall-GotY. W3 getting in was a good

I
think Fallout 4 and The Witcher 3 had reasons to underperform in the PC
poll, since the owners of the PS4 and Xbox One versions wouldn't have
been very likely to vote in that poll. The GotY poll removes that issue
and also brings in voters who have the game on PS4 or Xbox One, since

Based on this page - http://www.gamefaqs.com/games/topgames For Fallout 4, the system popularity ranks as PS4 > Xbox One > PC For The Witcher 3, the system popularity ranks as PS4 > PC > Xbox One This seems to match up pretty well with the results we saw when these 2 games went head to head over the past several days. The closest match-up between these 2 games happened in the PS4 poll, while the worst loss for The Witcher 3 happened in the Xbox One poll.
