The multiple matches/24 hour format has been great though. That should stick around. I mean, I'd personally be okay with 1-a-day even if it means we sit through the days of Link blowing people out, but it's not something I'd fight for. --- xp1337: Don't you wish there was a spell-checker that told you when you a word out? |

Putting other Nintendo games alongside them for the early rounds would be a no-no, unless you make it Nintendo versus Nintendo. ZFS posted... Undertake has broken us all Rofl yes it's true. In an alternate dimension, Undertale was stopped by Mario World and OoT is pulling out a close victory over Melee. Zelda fans saw the beating the Smash community got, and collectively shrugged at each other while waiting for Zelda U which wins next year's contest. |
Bonus match needs to be held Thursday tbqh. Have tomorrow be the "How do you feel?" poll and try to get the bonus poll away from rally spillover. i'm sure it would fail or the bonus match itself would be rallied but... in mind even a bracket with Draven probably gets stopped cold in R1 in

My
recommendation for the next Character Battle would be 4 matches per day
in round 1, 2 matches per day in round 2 and 3, and then 1 match per

I mean, I won't lie, if we get one I'll almost certainly end up making a bracket and hang around here, even if at my lowest I tell myself I'd just stay away, but I've just come to accept this'll all happen again. It'd just be setting myself up for disappointment. This is mostly how I feel as well. I think I've mostly learned to give up early on rallies being defeated and just try and enjoy the other matches in the contest. Like CT's insane run was fun and trying to figure out Division 7 and 8 as SMRPG ran through it was cool. Also Undertale's place was just really unusually bad and crash the party on numerous high tier matches. That hopefully will be less of a problem in the future. Ending contests doesn't really solve anything. Other people tend to really like chaos like this. So even if you or I eventually call it quits because the contests have shifted too far from what we like, they should still go on for the people who like them. --- No amount of rallying would let me beat raytan7585. Eh, with Mass Effect 3 that wasn't the case. That was a mad scramble that only barely connected at the end, and would have failed against pretty much any other game worth a damn. Catching fire is the hardest part. The true finals was never Undertale/Ocarina, or SSBM/Undertale, or Pokemon/Undertale. And also, I hate to say it because it sounds so counterintuitive, but... Link is way stronger than Ocarina of Time. His furious charge against Draven contrasted with OoT just lying down as virtually zero Zelda fans even bother to care is very striking. --- Welcome to the League of Antivotes. |
