Leon my point is you can't just say something is fodder based on pre-rally numbers. Rallies are a part of something's strength. yoblazer banged this point home and it's worth repeating: contests are not won by math, and now more than ever before, every match is its own match. The first 17 hours of the Mass Effect 3 match isn't different from the last 7. I can see you hating them if your side barely wins though, I get it. know, back in my day polls were just polls, they weren't popularity
contests that people got upset over. We'd click a few buttons and our
vote would be accepted, and that would be that. Now you have the
tumblers and the reddits and the whatnots and arguments get started over
the silliest of things. Can't we all just accept that it's a poll on a
video game site and not get upset over who's doing what? --- Soon we'll be out amid the cold world's strife, soon we'll be sliding down the razor blade of life. |

Like the tl;dr version is basically that the contests were one of the few things I could get excited and invested in, and now I basically have to accept they've changed into something I just can't get into it anymore. think this contest is just gonna prove that Characters > Games from a
contest standpoint (as we should have all known from the beginning!).
Characters aren't nearly as rallyable, Draven aside. Even the Pokes

A lot of the people making topics on the board about how Undertale is such a s***ty game (even though they've clearly never played it) are being ridiculous. However, a lot of us (like the people in this topic) have spent a lot of time following these contests over the years. Those of us that are upset about rallies are upset because it makes one of our hobbies less fun. There's
no why Allen doesn't bring back multiple polls a day. It's been pretty
successful, and he's never been one to drop something he feels was a

Honestly,
I'm not totally sure I want another contest. I mean, I won't lie, if we
get one I'll almost certainly end up making a bracket and hang around
here, even if at my lowest I tell myself I'd just stay away, but I've
just come to accept this'll all happen again. It'd just be setting
myself up for disappointment. I'm not actually advocating for ending all contests because even if that's how I might feel at times, that's just me and I don't think it should be decided on my whim... but like... ugh.
