The issue is total votes at this point. Today's match was berserk early but that was all rally spillover. I've
already messaged 3 tumblr pages but really don't expect them to
actually post about the contest. Still, I encourage every effort you
guys can make since that's the only way OOT can put a somewhat
interesting fight. I promise you guys I'll become an internet celebrity until next contest just in case we have another super rally to balance things out. |

also think Ocarina of Time is by far the most likely force to be able
to handle Undertale, but everyone has basically given up all hope since
Melee (WHY DO YOU GUYS DO THIS) deflated. It depends on if people still
care at that point. Ocarina was always going to be rallies and ralliers
on its side, it was never a GameFAQs strength only ordeal. That and a

Draven
was getting eviscerated at the end of that poll. Link was also killing
it before the downtime, and I don't believe in this infinite rally

Here's a BOLD Prediction for tomorrow's match OoT gets demolished in the early board vote, starts to pull away near the freeze. OoT is leading at 10 minutes. OoT continues to build a lead overnight, with a few hiccups here and there Undertale starts coming back, slowly at first in the morning The ASV hits and all the pre-pubescent tumblr users start saying 'ZOMG UNDERTALE GREETEST OF ALL TIME!!!!!!!!!!111111111111111' OoT gets buried by 6pm OoT makes the occasional cut, once again getting the deluded users of this site hope Undertale wins with 51% of the vote. Unless
people think Ocarina can time taking the lead to the last few updates,
it's not gonna be able to successfully come back on Undertale. Even
then, that might not work, ralliers are going to be *very* sensitive to

mean, Allen confirmed earlier today that it was just rallying, and I'll
take that over unsubstantiated claims. I don't want to go down that
road but its pretty clear that the Internet is out to push Undertale.

mean, for the most part, I don't think any cheating that does get
through would really actually be dealt with, so there comes a time with
this kind of thing where you have to realize one side is gonna do what
they have to do to win. I definitely disagree with any bought of Ocarina
getting 'buried' -- it'll end up close, either way, and Ocarina will be
facing Final Form Undertale -- but the number of people who have jumped
onto the Undertale bandwagon is a bigger problem in my mind than just
Tumblr or whatever. Board 8 is behind Undertale, I would guess. --- satoru iwata |

Undertale matches have almost all ended up 'close' in terms of
percentages. Nothing Ocarina does will be exceptional unless it gets

Undertale is definitely GotY, but I think Recency Bias has people overrating it in this contest. --- "Success is 1% inspiration, 98% perspiration, and 2% attention to detail." FC: 3823-9481-7474 Do what you must, I have already won. |
Of course Ocarina will not be buried since it will be another 51-49 %. But a 51-49 is not enough to make a good match. |

will be facing the strongest Undertale yet, and even if it loses with
like 52-48, that's way better than the losses other games have suffered

really, the fact that Ocarina has no one (comparatively) in its corner
is the biggest issue going into this. That's the real difference between
this and Draven. GameFAQs was a united front on that match, but I feel
like Undertale's sales have boosted with each contest win as more
people play it and hear about it and then wanna vote for it. That and
Melee burned people out on caring to rally. The lead up to this got

we've never actually seen a rally produce more than 2 big waves in a

Prevented us from seeing FFVII vs CT, buried FFVII higher than UT would have (if you care about stats) , and in the end, it killed CT and FFVII and brought nothing to the table. Sure it had some huge spikes/votals, but Undertale was never in danger. |
