Common Stats Topic Lingo Defined*~ SFF (Same Fanbase Factor) - Same Fanbase Factor is the theory that, if two contestants share a common fanbase, the weaker of the two options will underperform in a direct matchup. For instance, Link was expected to defeat Ganon with 65% of the vote in 2004, based on their 2003 values. Instead, Link collected near 88% of the vote. This is the best example of SFF we've ever seen. However take some SFF labels with a grain of salt, as many people will slap it onto any match that doesn't make perfect sense. Extrapolated Standings - The mathematical "strength" of a contestant that's determined based on their performance relative to the rest of the field. This number is typically based on the contest entrant's loss, but adjustments are sometimes made. getting sites outside of GameFAQs about the contest from Page 2 onwards. It really has spread wide throughout the internet. I even feel like our own voters have started to bandwagon as well. SOTN probably wouldn't have won Division VII or VIII. These games aren't as weak as this match is making them look. For instance, Majora is projected to beat MGS3 worse than it did in GOTD, and that's even considering there was probably some SFF in OoT/LTTP! --- http://i.imgur.com/3DwCNLJ.gif |

Overwhelmingly? Honestly, I'd say whatever anti-voting OoT is getting has balanced out the spillover. Mario RPG's best time was by far the beginning of the poll. OoT was averaging anywhere between 67-70% against SOTN for the rest of the match after the spillover should have died down, so SOTN was probably pretty close to where it was. --- http://i.imgur.com/3DwCNLJ.gif |

has definitely been getting anti-voted. The trends show it. Only the
night vote has been worse to OoT than its board vote, and most of the

Yeah it's not like Ocarina has fallen to the level where it's struggling to keep up with the board vote of Final Fantasy VII. But it's being antivoted. That will become clear enough if we get a CT/OoT bonus poll or whatever post-contest. --- Welcome to the League of Antivotes. |
Also just saying this again I actually don't have a lot of faith in stream-based rallying. It's never panned out and I think it's got to do with the fact that streams already give you constant excitement much the same as a contest poll where you F5F5F5F5 all day. People aren't taking their eyes off the Direct even if it's just for ten seconds to vote for OoT. What's needed is social media spam. --- Remember when you were young? I'm glad Toby is getting the recognition he deserves, Undertale is pretty good. I just hope OOT shows up to fight. Maybe the Smash stream really can make a difference so we can at least say "oooh mah gawd, look at that Link beasting!" for a few minutes. |

Undertale's GameFAQs rating continues to drop. Now at 4.36/5. For comparison, here's the ratings pie chart for Undertale, and then MGS5: http://imgur.com/6aMT8VN http://imgur.com/0yd9jgS MGS5 has about the same overall score and received a fairly mixed reception upon release. As a side note, Undertale also has a higher percentage of 1/10 votes than League of Legends does. --- Black Turtle did a pretty good job. |

Man. That's excessive. Just got some old data and also found out that Undertale's review score was in fact very static up until the point it beat Super Mario World, after which the score immediately started to plummet. To little surprise, GameFAQs doesn't care if you beat some new WRPGs, but Nintendo games are sacred. --- Black Turtle did a pretty good job. |

forget to message some Zelda facebook pages for OoT support if you are
rooting for it. OoT has so many places that can rally for it there is
still hope if a few people get the word out there. Pretty much any group
