if Melee were to somehow pull this off, I think we'll get a good read
on the mood of the site tomorrow with the SMRPG match. If SMRPG
overperforms a lot, that would indicate that the site doesn't want OOT

Like L-Block in his first round was an entirely different entity from Linkslaying L-Block because everybody started caring about it. Not just GameFAQS but also the greater Internet. Undertale vs. SM64 was much less interesting than Pokemon vs. SM64 would have been, especially if Pokemon went mostly unrallied. I just checked up the x-stats and apparently Deus Ex and Valkyria
Chronicles are stronger than Mario Maker. Does anyone actually think
that would happen in a contest match? Also wow Monster Hunter > Perfect Dark. And why did we not have much faith in DKC2 pre-contest? Undertale blew a lot of its load early on. Some of those early updates were straight up ludicrous. That said, it'll be interesting to see its staying power throughout the day. Melee's gonna have to step up its rally game tomorrow if it wants any sort of chance.
