Common Stats Topic Lingo Defined*~ SFF (Same Fanbase Factor) - Same Fanbase Factor is the theory that, if two contestants share a common fanbase, the weaker of the two options will underperform in a direct matchup. For instance, Link was expected to defeat Ganon with 65% of the vote in 2004, based on their 2003 values. Instead, Link collected near 88% of the vote. This is the best example of SFF we've ever seen. However take some SFF labels with a grain of salt, as many people will slap it onto any match that doesn't make perfect sense. Extrapolated Standings - The mathematical "strength" of a contestant that's determined based on their performance relative to the rest of the field. This number is typically based on the contest entrant's loss, but adjustments are sometimes made. I'm
sure the Undertale rally will slow down a bit overnight, but at least
this is a weekend when these Undertale voters will be able to stay up

is going to go down as an all-time great contest match. Rallies aren't
ruining the contests. Slight shift in voter base, sure. But this is
amazing. (And at least Undertale is a good game, not like the way Draven

Melee
is capable of over 200,000 votes hypothetically, that was the viewer
count at Evo 15 Grand Finals. It will be interesting to see how many of
those show up here. If it doesn't beat Undertale then Smash only has

Just got back from a Smash tournament ironically, and caught up on the last stats topic. I can definitely verify and vouch that Hylian's claims are true and very possible. I'm the biggest Smash TO in the NW (less impressive than it sounds), so my Rolodex is decent these days, but his is a few times larger than mine for sure and if I pulled every string I had I know I could probably make a dent so if you're an Undertale supporter be scared of him. Can also verify M2K is not good to be around. Everyone has an M2K story, it's just that bad. It's funny people see him as a celebrity, but most people in the scene just kinda groan when they get a FB message from him because it's rarely a good thing. But this is all definitely part of The Plan(tm) Alucard gave Link in their match to make him and OoT invincible. Believe --- Viviff on the go!
