Contest Stats and Discussion - Part 1252
I
went to college with Inui. We were all playing Brawl, and our random
house rule is when you play with 4 players, the guys in 3rd and 4th
place rotate out. The guy in second place picks the stage for the next
match. We usually had all items off except for final smash because final
smash is a blast. It was always a lot of fun, and it worked. Anyway one semester Inui shows up and of course starts lecturing everyone about how they suck and tournament play and why play 4 player when you should be playing team 2v2 friendly damage on instead and it's the only thing to do past 1v1 and you should only practice what you'll see in tournaments and blah blah blah. Typical moron socially awkward tournament player that couldn't speak to a woman if it was his job. So one match we just picked the Mario 3 stage and ganged up on him. He completely flipped out. After this happened a second time in a row, he had a full-on crying meltdown, then drove an hour home to get his own Wii and plugged it into the TV that was 10 feet away or so. He sat there all day playing by himself and sobbing like a little b****, with random manic outbursts of 'why put levels and modes like that in, it isn't fair to tournament players'. this is supposedly a grown-ass man. I usually defend the tournament way of doing things, but good lord almighty. This was by far the most fun I've ever had playing Brawl. Still my favorite Brawl story. He is so hated that they once made an official tier list with this dude as the lowest tiered character. He acts exactly the same in the Guilty Gear community, too, which is hilarious because literally every single Slayer main acts the same way. I hear he finally got on medication and fixed himself up a bit, which is good, but holy f***. So this match is pretty much guaranteed to be the most voted in the contest, right? We thought RBY would be the last man standing, but turns out Melee was OOT's real secret weapon all along. |

Except most of the subreddit aren't actually tournament players, and tournament players also look down on them because they mindlessly praise melee and fanboy over players while contributing nothing to the community. If
getting ganged up on in Smash Bros Brawl is an example of an
unforgivable offense and legendary bullying resulting in a complete
meltdown, that guy probably shouldn't be playing Smash Bros in the first
place. Social pressure and competition is how humans grew up and got
