Common Stats Topic Lingo Defined*~ SFF (Same Fanbase Factor) - Same Fanbase Factor is the theory that, if two contestants share a common fanbase, the weaker of the two options will underperform in a direct matchup. For instance, Link was expected to defeat Ganon with 65% of the vote in 2004, based on their 2003 values. Instead, Link collected near 88% of the vote. This is the best example of SFF we've ever seen. However take some SFF labels with a grain of salt, as many people will slap it onto any match that doesn't make perfect sense. Extrapolated Standings - The mathematical "strength" of a contestant that's determined based on their performance relative to the rest of the field. This number is typically based on the contest entrant's loss, but adjustments are sometimes made. Pokemon's got a big base, but it didn't upset UT in large part, I suspect, because a lot of Pokemon fans just happen to be big into UT right now. Not surprising, since UT's hot meme material and Pokemon hasn't really had any big news in a while. |

okay with Melee winning against Undertale, as long as it beats Ocarina

Instead of having hubs of activity like subreddits or message boards, you follow blogs/tags and they appear on your feed. Then you spread the posts to your own followers by reblogging and it becomes a big chain reaction. Blogs with lots of followers have a lot of sway, but the manner of organizing votes is different than it would be on a message board / subreddit / independent community site, where the leaders of the community exert greater control on what content gets seen. --- I like this guy - Shiny Mewtwo |

Undertale without Super Rallies would have lost EVERY match it was in. Thats a given. IT needs mega rallies of 400+ updates to even beat some of these games. Today is basically all the leftover fans voting for it. We're
way ahead of Pokemon/Undertale in votals and Undertale is already
leading so its possibly Undertale shot its load already, and people are
less motivated to vote since it is winning instead of down by 30%. I
mean part of the appeal before was definitely because it was such a huge

this time of the day...? Is Melee getting a decent rally even though
it's winning comfortably? (I'm too lazy to check through the previous
topic) Also, is there any chance SMRPG can avoid SFF against Ocarina of Time if gets there? I'd like to think so, but that's just my fanboyism. And no, don't mention SMRPG vs. CT.
