I am on Undertale's side and have been watching it win repeatedly and I STILL don't feel certain it can beat OoT, or even FF7 if it pulls through. Well, they already beat SMW and their rally gets stronger each round. Like, I'm not saying they should have thought Undertale was invincible (though I certainly think the evidence points to that), but there is absolutely nothing pointing towards Undertale being the underdog in any match from here on out. Like I don't actually blame anyone watching casually for thinking that, but it's a little amusing watching from here understanding how monstrous this rally's potential really is. --- I don't know how much you know about women, but Dr. Pizza is an expert. - The Mana Sword |

Our
increase in votals over Pokemon/Undertale will continue to increase for
a while, too. At this point in that match, we were drawing in about 450
votes per update. Right now we're drawing about 600. That is 33% more,
which means that the rate in which we are gaining votals over that match
is actually increasing. We could be on pace for an unprecedented number
of votes by morning. (And by unprecedented I mean close to top 10 all-time and possibly beating every non-L-Block match. The rallying would have to keep up through the day tomorrow, though, and we don't know how well Undertale does while it's leading.) EDIT: Votals fell off a cliff that last update. I'm being sarcastic because people were talking about how good Mario 64
was doing early on even though it's on pace to get trucked harder than

By your logic world of warcraft or a league would be #1 on this site. The games standing is how strong it is on gamefaqs. Undertale might win the contest but in 2 years time will be complete fodder. I agree with your second statement. Your first I don't really agree with. Mario is holding up really well. We didn't see any Tumblr posts with hundreds of notes by 2 am in any previous matches. We have multiple ones of those today. This is a different (and not necessarily better; the well is not infinite and any votes used tonight won't be used tomorrow) Undertale and presumably one that is, by definition, less backloaded. --- Raytan7585 is better than me at redditFAQs |

I won't post about it on smashboards front page, but I can post on FB/twitter several times about it, and I can potentially spend $10 on the facebook post to make it reach tons of people(probably won't do this though, I'm not THAT invested lmao) and our fb already has a good amount of reach. Undertale/Pokemon
stayed in the 450-vote-per-update range until close to 3 am. Right now
we're sticking in the range of about 500 votes per update, which means
today's match is losing a bit of ground relative to how much it is

can't really see why Undertale and Melee rallies would vote for
eachother. Melee is full of super-competitive fightan game dudes who
care about framerates and hitboxes, and Undertale's fans are the sort
who get their enjoyment out of the story and writing of the game more
than anything else. |

I'd give it another couple of updates, but it seems you were right. In
the last two rounds, the strongest hour of the Undertale first wave
rally was 2-3 (cut 400 against SMW, went 50/50 with RBY), and it had
never won any other hours until morning, so I figured the rally should
be good for at least another hour and Mario would be down by so far by
then he wouldn't be able to catch up by morning. But if this hour is

Smash
seems to have a more active online community than Undertale. I think if
they went ALL OUT (full effort and reddit, Smash Boards, pro players'
twitter accounts, the works), it could be fearsome indeed. I mean, this
topic seems convinced that CT was on it's way to a 60%+ win, and Melee
snuffed that out without giving the impression that the fanbase was
really trying that hard. The core of the fanbase has been playing that one game for over a decade, though. They're old and probably don't give much of a s*** while Undertale's fans are super excited for their new game. --- http://i.imgur.com/gByqgPg.gif |

I don't think SSBM rallies are helping Undertale especially since its opponent is Mario 64. As for why Undertale's rally favors SSBM, it doesn't seem like Tumblr like Final Fantasy that much. update generated fewer votes than the 2:15 update in Undertale/Pokemon.
That is the first update that this match has generated fewer votes than
